    • Anyone here using the Rynox Optimus-M tank bag for Karizma? If yes, do share your views on how good it holds with those magnets and if it feel intrusive while riding?

OT:- I saw MG Biker has this on Pulsar NS200 who is currently touring KL. From my observation, he had whole lot of stuff and it can be expanded that you can still have room after placing your helmet. The magnet version of bag is regarded hassle-free when it comes to mounting on the tank compared to other makes. My guess is that it should hold good with ZMA.

        • My bike's work is completed yesterday night, thanks to Sriram who sent the AFR screw in time. It appeared fine yesterday and I did not rev more than 4k so far with 55 kms on odo.

Things replaced: Cam chain, Rocker Arms, Valve kit, and piston rings.

After riding for 30 kms, the bike now behaves exactly the same way before the work. Bike knocks in lower gears. Something is not right and even in first gear at the start it knocks a little. If you rev a little, the bike knocks. After all the hectic 5 days, disappointed to see the result. I recorded the engine sound at idling, after running for 15 kms in traffic. Can somebody make out what could be wrong?

And this is the color of the plug after 40 kms of riding.

Already read good things about the bag, but was looking for a perspective from a Karizma rider about the bag. Anyways, thanks for the info.

                • Back from a 5 day 1800km trip on the route Bangalore-Kanyakumari-Allapuzha-Munnar-Ooty-Bangalore. Really good ride and the bike performed exceptionally well! Oil used was Motul 3100 Gold 20w50 which is still good even after the trip. It requires some warm up though but after a proper warm up, its really good! Rode in all kinds of terrain including a no road forest and on the beach sand and the new rubbers(Michelin Sirac Street rear & Ceat Gripp front) also performed very well.
We are miles away from the routine.

how much mileage you are getting in city and on highway...????
actually one of my friend is planning to go for new zma and he is not sure about the mileage figures of new model or you can say zma 2011....whereas showroom staff is claiming that it will give you around 38-40 in city as company has tuned zma 2011 for more mileage and less performance in other words it will not go beyond speedo indicated 127...is it true...???
I am requesting other members also to comment on above mentioned matter...

                    Thanks in adavnce...

                    • The 2011 ZMA, hits 130Kmph on speedo and 125Kmph on GPS, when on plain straight roads. It reaches 115Kmph without a sweat, but after that takes its own sweet time to hit 120+Kmph.
Mileage is comparatively better than the previous versions. If maintained well, will give you 45~50Kmpl easily.

Top speed etc, should'nt be calculated on the basis of speedo reading, heres why.

The above is a 2012 ZMA. The actual speed is 114.7Kmph.

                        • Hello,

I am facing battery problem in my Karizma R. Bike is 1Yr 4 Month Old and 25000KM done.
Yesterday morning it was fine, self start/horn all were function well. But at evening the selfstart/ horn/ speedo/ odo/ and rpm meter everything stopped functioning.

Its a dry cell from Exide. I put it for charging with battery charger for last 2 Hr but still no results.

Do the dry cell are such less life (only 1Yr and 4Month)??

                          Please suggest!!!

                            • Yes, All Fuse are ok. Tried a new battery and everything works fine.
What is the warranty for dry cell (maintenance free) battery for ZMA-R??
Anyone bought a new one can check the warranty card. I think I lost mine.
