Most shocking is the front fender 1K alone. The RX plastic fenders come for 350 bucks.
Just extortion from HH, and whats great is no one will be able to resolve the problem on the bike.
I found the Electrical/ copper wire/coil selling shops also selling Fiber glass tapes of half to 3/4th inch width for insulation purpose, which will be ideal for the patch up work in ZMA panels..This tape along with some quick setting epoxy or even Fevi qwick will give good strength to cracked or broken plastics in ZMA.

Asif, Psr, in my bikes case, the plastics were totally gone! They were damaged while the bike was being transported back from Leh by the previous owner. Each and every single mount of the front cowl and headlamp was broken. I used the bike this way for a year and finally had enough!Im gonna claim insurance to help cushion the big hit!

You have New clutch plates which needs to mate and form proper friction,,so wait for 100 to 200 Kms.
You have new tires which are known for better grip, which equates to more friction on road, which equals lesser top speed.
You have 20w40 which will make the engine sluggish to rev, but after 200 Kms you should feel better engine response...if in doubt change to 10w30 and bike will easily reach 120 kmph, but will feel harsh, with sticky gear shifts.
Check correct Chain tightness ,without over tightening and making it easy for the wheel to rotate, and LUBRICATE properly....
Just some suggestions to cross check.....I presume your ZMA was able to do 120 before the change of components, and oil.
Adding to what PSR Sir said, check for the wheel free movement and also the brakes if it is gripping the wheel.

            I can imagine.
So whats the waiting period going to be. I had too changed the plastics some time back, but sourced them from outside the showroom. The tax charged huge and you never get what you want.

oh! where did u source the plastics from? I remember this HH distributor at JC road below cherry distributors. He didnt have half the parts i needed the last time i was there..lol..

I ordered the parts in early Jan and they reached the showroom sometime last week! I went to check on the progress of the work today and was told that one of the rear cowls got damaged in transit. Hope they can source the part soon cause i dont have a bike for commuting!

Nope it was not doing 120 earlier (as in a few months ago when my bikes perf started to detriorate because of worn out part)
than all the change of components
thats the reason i changes old worn out things.

Will wait for 200 kms as the clutch plates are new.
I had zappers earlier and still could not reach 120 in past few months and even after the component changes.

Chain tightness is ok and both the tires are moving freely. Also everything is lubricated as i just had my bike serviced along with all the component changes.

Asif, the plastic parts sourced from outside, were they original or after market? if after market, how good were they.

We have a shop here which does sell after market panel for Karizma, but I'm not sure how good are they. I can only tell that they cost almost 50% less than the ones available at the service center.

Its mostly local shops near my garage that were able to get he parts for me. Since i was replacing everything they got all the parts in about 2 weeks time. They still keep asking me incase i need some parts.J.C road sucks these days, no proper spares just some fancy parts shops, with all stickers, and unwanted things.
Incase you are missing something let me know.

You rarely will get any body part for the ZMA thats a fake/after market. No one makes them locally AFAIK.

The original parts themselves don't have great life, so i'am not sure on the after market ones. The parts i bought from outside were original and were about 20% cheaper that the showroom prices.

The shopkeeper confirmed that they are locally made. And I think that its worth trying if I can get it real cheap. I mean, the rear 3 cowls cost about rs. 1400.
If I ever decide to use any of the after market cowls, I will post a review.

                        • Hey Guys,

Hope everyone is doing well & enjoying their rides. My bike has completed a year last week & odo showed 18,196kms. I am very happy with the bike & the performance it has delivered in the complete year.

Posting some pics of the bike.

Some issue that has started just couple of days back, the RPM needle starts jumping around and isnt stable. When the bike is in idle it shows 0 RPM & once I start riding the needle goes up. Even if I am riding at a constant throttle & constant RPM the needle moves up & down. I have checked the battery water level & its absolutely perfect, the RR unit shows a good current also so battery is not discharging because the lights, horns & other electronic devices are working absolutely fine. So now what could be the problem?

                          • @imjoshee: I think you need to get the carberettor cleaned. That should resolve the issue.

RPM meter - Carburetor..can you explain how cleaning the carb should resolve the RPM meter issue?

Fluctuating RPM can be caused by irregular air flow or fuel flow (Just My thoughts). I remember, one of the guys on this thread had faced a similar issue and was resolved by changing the AFR screw. I'm trying to locate the exact post and will add a link to the post once I find it.
