  • @kkrk2: Well did not had a thought of perf carbs till now, where can i find one? what are the suitable models for zmaR ?
@psr: You are right bro i tuned carb and things are finally working smooth. No RPM raising, no engine stopping at low RPMs and idle RPM remains constant , previously it used to fluctuate a lot. But permanent solution is to get new one for time being i am happy with this.

Will post my observations on mileage and top speed soon.
on 4 wheels u feel the speed after a crash, 2 wheelers are much more advanced

The Karizma has Keihin 30mm carb. You can try Mikuni BS 29 with good effect in your bike. Pulsars use this and is quite easy to get replacement parts since UCAL is making it...New ones are about 2.5K and a good used ones may be available from 800 to 1500....from your local second hand market.

Get in touch with Joel. He can suggest whats available locally and may even help you source one from outside. Be warned dont ask or think anything more than a carb else you would be thinking about drag racing instead of touring!!!

he he.... What about a drag tourer?

@pabi:- bro am not an expert but afaik you can plonk fastest indian's carb. This mod was advised by a magician whome i can blindly trust . Its much better than our carb and is quite cheaper. It will help in further tuning as well. Am not sure about the fixing procedure and i don't think its a direct fit but i know it can be done. I may get one soon, if so Will update here.

              • Guys,

I have changed the rear tyre to M45 4.00 X 18. But the problem is, it is touching the chain cover.

I do not want to cut or remove the cover. Is there any other option?

Also I changed the headlamp bulb to Philips Xtreme 55/60w with a cutout.

My ZMA runs on Michelin Sirac 120x80 in the rear. The problem can be rectified by an experienced puncture repair guy (for 20/- rupees)!!!

I heard ZMA wiring can take that wattage without any issues. My bike is running on a similar wattage for the last 2 years or so!!

When the tyre was installed, it went in without any issues, but once i started riding it was touching the chain cover. Metro tyres guy knows me very well, I just live in the lane behind his shop. I will go there today in the evening to get it checked.

Thanks for the pic Worrisomebear. I am not sure, but I have seen this Yellow ZMA before with the same number plate.

Any suggestions on the change of horn. I am planning to plonk in Bosch horns.

bro if there is not much difference then why to use an expensive(compare to hh) oil. Again its always better to stay with the prefered grade. Imho HH OIL is the best oil for karizma.
