  • May any one will tell where I can find good helmet for my RE at Bangalore. Helmets for RE means the open face helmets which have the cruiser look and which brand will be nice.

        • Hi All,

I own a 2008 RE STD 350, yeah yeah... with the new gen bikes being called Classic - I own the STD.... Been out of touch with my hobby for some time now and getting back to my hobby again... A couple of questions from my end:-

          1. How do you increase the mileage from the STD - mine is complete stock and my last tank fill gave me a mileage of 21.01KMPL!!! I've never checked its mileage earlier... but then is this normal... I heard figures of 35+ - and hence this question...

          2. A good mechanic for Bull in Anna Nagar, Chennai... I have come back to Chennai now with a change of job....

Would be great if someone can help me on the same....

          Cheers
          The Goat

Its 1.3 litres buddy. That is enough and more before you find a petrol bunk.

                Hi All
I am Planning to do a mod on my bike. the plan is as follows :
1-> Change the color of the bike from back to Matte Black
2-> Color the Rims to black
3-> Remove all the chrome from the bike ( dont like Chrome at all ) and paint it Black
4-> Paint the handle Bar to Black
5-> Install a Black Goldie Glass wool silencer.
6-> Change the rear tyre to 18" and the tyre to 120/80

I need some info from you guys. Is there any one who has painted his bike to Matte Black ?
Which company paint should be used ?

Classic without any extra thought... Electra can never match the style statement of Classic..but make sure you can survive. The waiting period for classic

i own a classic buddy. I'll tell you the basic difference of both. Classic is like youngsters bullet with killer looks and style. The pleasure of riding solo on a classic removing rear seat is "un-comparable" . Electra is like a family vehicle and looks formal, just a normal bullet in matter of looks. Both the machines have same engine, so need not worry about performance. Just decide on which looks you would prefer. And as our fellow member lovish said, the waiting period for a classic is almost double than an electra's. If You are ready to wait for few extra months and ready to spend few extra thousands , Classic is always the best option
