    • QUERY regarding Classic 500

      Hey Guys,
Is there any way to fit tubeless tyres of same profile(I guess the profile is same as that of 220) onto those good looking chrome spoke rims??

Whohoo... Wait a minute... Are you planning for a Bullet !? Gr8 sire...

BTW, AFAIK tubeless don't work with spoke rims. Do they !? yeah, I know there are some high-end tourers by BMW which sport tubeless on spoked wheels but then what'll the cost ??? won't be affordable for sure...

          Hold your horses, Rahul
I am not buying now. May be when I will be 65 when Bullet will be twin cylinder mammoth having massive toque & improved reliability (my wish ) My close buddy has booked one & am eager to go on a trip with him. I love the new classic but really pissed off for RE not providing tubeless tyres. For me, a bike can't be called tourer if it doesn't have tubeless tyre.

May be I will have to go with sealant option then.

          • Royal Enfield Electra UCE advise on Silencer change

            Hi Guys,
I own a E350 cc 2012, completing 3k kms now i am planning to change the stock silencer to somethig nice and healthy, one of my friend is changed to san inc goldstar with con baffles but its too very lound and hard for me. When i checked with the service station, they advised me on something with glass woll priced at 4800rs and i find that also to be very loud.
I am here to get some tips on a silencer that sounds a little bit more loud and thumpy than the stock silencer without compromising on the pickup or mileage.
            Kindly help!

If you are from bangalore, i can help you out with garages where people make it. Goldstar is the design which can give maximum thump for the UCE engines. Its depending on the size of the goldstar the bass and treble part is decided. You can have the same shape with a smaller and bigger dia. the bigger one 'll have more bass and the smaller ones will have less of sound. You can decide which you want based on your need. If the goldstar is with glasswool, it will have a glass material almost powdered , looking like some cotton candy will be there inside the silencer around the vent mesh pipe. Again , it can decide the bass and treble. If you fill it completely with glass wool, you'll have bass and fast thumps. If you remove little and have a right amount, filling alomost 50% it'll have good bass n enough treble and enough thump for UCE engines. In bangalore you can get the goldie from
1)sandhya in JC road (poor chrome quality, but cheap, around 1.5K)
2)Muneer - frazer town, behind bhartinagar police station ( good chrome, 2.5K)
                3) A guy in RT nagar , no much idea abt place, its next to RT nagar cuppa i have heard ( around 3K )

The best thump i have seen is from this guy from RT nagar. Even I am planning to visit his place and get a silencer change. will update it after i change

                • Thanks for the tip tony, but can these silencers be tuned according to our needs?
As i said, just a little bit louder and thumpy than the stock one,, too much becomes noise.

as i already said, You can choose a smaller dia one and fill in more glasswool. That would be perfect for you i feel. As far as i have understood about your needs. If u need it little more louder later on, you can remove bit of glasswool from the silencer and the noise 'll increase. You can remove and add glasswool on your own. Its very cheap also. You can buy little and keep at home. Anyways you'll have to refill it once every 10k kms if filled fully. If filled 50%, once every 3000, you will have to check n fill.

I agree waiting periods for the Bull is frustratingly high. I also wanted a Bull but went in for a CBR 250 as waiting period quoted at COIMBATORE was 9+ months n I got my Ceeber in 15 days.

                              • I am from the Indian Air Force so their is a reduction in the waiting period which is normally 8 months as told by the Showroom in charge !!....................The Bulls is not such a mass producible vehicle like the japanese plastic bikes but still 8months is too much and sometimes it goes upto 1 yr ............
