if you are absolutely sure your troubles are because of the frame (second opinion might help for sure) and you have ruled out a fork issue (as someone said its the most easiest problem after impact) and your wheel alignments are fine then you dont have much choice and would have to get the frame changed. But i see no reason why a new frame wont improve stuff. For sure i'd expect it to be better. IMHO i'd get it done if the frame was ruled to be damaged.
As for the chain lubricant. Apart from the motul, if i cant get that, what are the other brands i can ask for and specific type?

My bike hit a pavement too, and stopped. So yes, the forks, T Stem et all had to be replaced. No the bike doesn't feel the same at all. Sucks.Originally posted by EL LOCO DIABLO View PostThe bike hit the pavement before flipping over upside down at some 70-75kmph, and i really need a answer to this can a new frame iron out problems in handling?
Still would you trust them guys to completely disassemble the bike and put back everything on the frame and make the bike feel like new?Riot Engine |Norton WD 16H | BSA C11G |Enfield Fury

Was there an xBhpians bloody good looking P200, blue with the front bikini fairing stripped off and a huge dent in the tank at ProBiking Chennai on the 14th of October?
I faintly remember the xBhp sticker on the side...Riot Engine |Norton WD 16H | BSA C11G |Enfield Fury

I don't have much choice on where i can give for repairs do i? The PBK techs gave me a estimate of about ~15K for repairs, it has to be done under insurance only as i can't touch the family kitty once again for this, if this was from my pocket i might have even got a new frame done with monoshock!Originally posted by theslayer View PostMy bike hit a pavement too, and stopped. My forks have absolutely gone for a toss, because i can't expect the fork to have not bent when the frame it self might (he said there are chances of the frame not being damaged too) have been bent, but my question is that i had already bent back my forks from an earlier crash so, would i be weakening the fork/frame by doing the same thing again??Originally posted by Absoluthavoc View Postif you are absolutely sure your troubles are because of the frame (second opinion might help for sure) and you have ruled out a fork issue (as someone said its the most easiest problem after impact) and your wheel alignments are fine then you dont have much choice and would have to get the frame changed. ^^ dont know for sure... but i mean its always better to get a new set and use it and if its still giving probs.. atleast then you can go back and tell them.. look i've got everything new and now whats your excuse for the poor handling? Else whenever you get them in a tight spot they often wriggle out saying.. oh you know its damaged and then repaired and straightened so it wont be the same as new and etc etc.

Synthetic Oil
Hi ! Everybody ,
I'm a very new in your valuable group.
I have some qry regarding the Synthetic oil.
I've a Pulsar - 200 Model & completed running 2900 K.M.done 2nd Free Service.
I wish to swithc my 200's stock mineral oil to Pure ( Not Semi ) Synthetic oil.
& Obvious option is MATUL 300 V.
So is it advisable to shift to Motul 300 v at this stage or will I wait
?? If I have 2 wait then How long & why
??
Plz advise.Facebook : - http://www.facebook.com/me.ab77

Hi there, well i changed to full-synth within 27xxkms! though i'm not facing any problems majorly, the gears seem to have gotten a lot notchy and sensitive to even the slightest actions of the left foot, i would advice you to switch over to Motul 3000 T 20W50 which is a full mineral till your 3rd or 4th free service, then switch over to Motul 300V 15W50 laterI'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.

Will You please tell me why it is advisable after 3rd of 4th Service...???Facebook : - http://www.facebook.com/me.ab77

Because the full-synth is a highly viscous liquid and is not advisable to put such a oil on a fresh engine, the engine needs to be set in, for example the piston initially does not fit exactly with the cylinder therefore the piston needs to grind off it's excess or in other words need to get "set-in" with the rest of the moving parts this is also goes for a number of other moving parts which are in contact with one another, and if you go and put a viscous oil into it, this setting-in process can be delayed, and can cause other difficulties which frankly even i am not qualified enough to tell
EDIT: Actually to be on the safe side, it is better to go in for a full-synthetic oil after 10,000kms, to make sure the bike has really "opened" up to your style of ridingLast edited by EL LOCO DIABLO; 10-16-2008, 02:36 PM.I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.
