I dono whether to say Yes/No !!!Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostIs your bike running on slime? Now?
I had a puncture on the highway, and when i got it repaired, the guy actually sealed it from inside.. i didnt carry my repair kit and had to rely on his expertise of repairin tubeless tyres like tht !! he had done a pretty good job.. when he opened the tyre.. i could see the slime harden like gum in a few areas .. it was sticking like chewing gum to the tyre in a few places... and it actually looked like having a cloth hidden in the tyre
... removed it on tht day... but it has definately helped me avert punctures every now and then on the mysore road with so many broken glass pieces !
I spent about 100 bucks for that in coimbatore.. and think its worth the money if you are riding on puncture prone areas/roads-- kri$ --

No doubt slime is an awesome product though!!!

I had a 4-inch construction rod crop up into my rear tire a couple of days back and destroy the beading. My rear tire is now no more tubeless. :P
I was wondering whether to go for the same MRF Nylogrip Zapper - C, 17" 120/80 or to go for the 140 radial ones that are used on the FZ16.
I also came across tires from "Duro", 17" 120/80, which comes with a 60,000km warranty. I took a look at it, and the treads don't satisfy me, although I might be heavily mistaken. Anyone willing to hand their expertise?-------------------

so I opted for Nylogrip Vyde.....must say quite a good tyre...Go for it...FZ16's tyre won't get fit in p200/220 rim...its all about CC...

Improving rear drum brakes possible?
Hi,
Let me relate this to the P200's pathetic rear brakes.
As most of you 200 owners know the pathetic condition of the rear brakes on the P200. A 5kg heavier Avenger can brake better with the same 130mm drums. There is a theory behind this. Try using a really long screw driver to unscrew and try the same with a short screw driver. You know that you need much lesser effort to get it out with the longer screwdriver. This is probably why the Avenger brakes better with the same drums.(Owing to the larger wheelbase and the front positioned pedals resulting in a long connection rod between the foot and the drum).
But I dont care. Is there any possible way to improve the rear brakes on the 200? (Damn ,I loved the rear brakes of the 1.5 times heavier Machismo I rode yesterday) Even a neat disc assembly will do the job. But is it even possible? has anyone done it? Your comments and insight will be appreciated.sigpic
