Just searched for the image of Pulsar-200 off the net, and I am posting the image here. The place where the leak happens is circled in red. Any help, please?

Also, found this interesting photoshopped picture of the Pulsar-200 on the net while searching for the above. Loved it, thought of sharing it with fellow xBhpians. Please note it is just for gawking purposes; no speculations please..

P.S:@ Praful: Deleted the post, as requested.
@Aryan: Are u using Motul300v? I'v heard a lot of people having problems while using the Motul 300v. With 19k+ kms I haven't had that problem yet (Dare I say that, Its a freakin Bajaj, You say its working perfectly and the next day onwards you'r sure to have the problem). Nevertheless, try using the sealant.

      • @Aryan: could you post some pics of this leakage? There are two possible types here that I know of..
        1. Leakage from the bolts on the head
        2. Leakage from the head..where it interfaces with the block.

The first one is a two minute affair...the PBK fella will take a thread sealing tape and use the recommended torque to tighten it.

The second one may require some time as the gasket/head-block sealant may need to be replaced.

I feel it is the first one that is bothering you.

        • Damn! Haven't got the time to take a picture of it and post it. Today, will do that for sure. Thanks for those pointers though.

140 tires fit well on the stock rim...

            • How about using the FZ16's handle bar's on the 200. I think it should be fun. Is the diameter of the bars the same? Any idea folks?

              • What is the "procedure" for cold-starting the P-200? I ask because it has been getting colder by the day here, in Delhi and to add to the woes, the P-200 doesn't have a kick starter.

What I generally do is, switch the ignition 'ON', put the choke 'ON', crank the starter, let the bike run on choke for about a minute or so and then switch the choke 'OFF' and let it idle for a couple of minutes (or a little more) till the time the machines idles nicely, and then ride off. But, I do need to crank the starter twice, at times which sometimes bothers me as I don't want the juice of the battery to just run out one fine day (soon)..

My question is this: Won't starting with the elecric starter for the first time in a day (early morning, cold start) just drain off the battery real soon? Or is the battery more powerful than the earlier Pulsar's batteries? I understand Bajaj must have done some amount of R&D into this before they went ahead with this whole thing (eliminating the kick starter and depending solely on the electric starter), but still the mind does wonder, at times.

Any insight into this whole matter would really be helpful.

                Thanks.

Well, technically, you can't do anything even if it is bad for the bike. We don't have the kick-starter.
What you can do is to switch on the choke, and start the bike, while allowing it to idle to a healthy RPM. This should be around 4000RPM. Once you feel it's healthy, switch off the choke, let it idle for a few more seconds normally and then you're off.

We're trying to start an initiative where we're gathering enough photos or videos
of erratic Swiggy/Zomato/UberEats riders across all cities so we can cast a spotlight
on this issue and try and sort it out. If you video-record as you ride, or have a
dash-cam in your car, or can take SAFELY photographs of instances where these riders
are creating a nuisance by riding recklessly on the roads, PLEASE share the same with

Thanks Insidious. Guess, I have been doing this the right way, then. And since there IS no kick-starter, there can't be any "wrong" way.. Thanks again!

Do you mean beneath the fuel cap around the fuel hole? Yeah, I've been facing that problem too, but not when it rains though. Only if I wash my bike with lots of water.
I haven't exactly found a way to get rid of this problem either, so if anyone can give us a heads up...?

                          • ^^ This is what i did to prevent the water fron seeping in around the edges of the tank, I cut a piece of an styrofoam mouse pad and fit it under the lid, because if you had noticed it's the fuel lid that's the culprit, you have to remove all the screws using an allen key 4~5, the lid will come clean off, the problem with the drain hole is that it is suseptible for forming pockets of vacumn because of capillary action as the drain is'nt very wide preventing the water from completely draining out
IMO the best thing to do is keep the water out!!
I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.

The new 220 will boast of an all black finish for the engine casting and alloys similar to the bike unveiled at the 2008 Auto Expo. Also in the pipeline is a carbon fibre finish end can.
