  • I can ride my bike for 1 week or so The right side Switch for turning on the lights has just worn out just in 6 months...it has become direct...the lights are not turning off..asked Bajaj for replacement they said its gonna cost 750/- approx ( No PBK Showroom here ) they also said take your bike either to Vijayawada (270kms) or Chennai (180kms) for Free Warranty Replacement...but my dad somehow convinced them to replace the part for free under warranty...they just sent the part to Vijayawada and they will send the new switch here once again...so somehow i will get the part

But i can ride my bike for a week

      • Which petrol is best?

        Hi Guys,

Today I went to the HP petrol pum and asked for power but they didnt have it so I put the normal unleaded petrol. this got me thinking what is the difference between these different brands and which on is the best among
        (1)"Power" from Hindustan Petroleum,
        (2)"Speed" from Bharat Petroleum,
        (3)"XtraMile" from Indian Oil

Depends on the Petrol Bunk actually...try different bunks you'll know the difference....basically "Speed" is better than others

its XtraPremium not XtraMile...XtraMile is Diesel

          • My bike is due for the 5th free service soon. I am planning to get the following things done:
            Top up fork oil
Replace Fork oil seal and Dust seal
            Replace Rear Wheel damper
            Replace Drive chain lock
Get a new Starter Clutch Bush kit
Replace Brake shoes at the rear and Disc pads at the front.

            Any more suggestions?

Speed is the best choice for the 200 IMHO. I've tried stock and other fuels except for XtraMile, but overall she responded best with Speed and i've never switched since i found it to be the best.

              • I have a query/ doubt. Some help in this regard would really be helpful.

While cold starting my P-200 these days (winter) early morning (7:30am or thereabouts), I need to crank the starter for quite a while (3-5 seconds continously) before the engine comes to life. But, what I have been noticing since the last couple of days is whenever starting the machine for the first time (early morning), the 'low battery level' indicator just flashes for half a second to one second before disappearing.

It only happens while cold starting the machine; this does not happen during the afternoon/ evening or any other time. I was just wondering is the battery's electrolite level low? Does the battery needs to be charged? The horns, indicator, etc. work like a charm (doesn't seem the battery is losing any juice). Then why does the 'low battery level' indicator flashes for a second while cold starting it for the first time after a chilly night? I am really baffled..
                :)

                • ^^ not really. you could get the battery checked but IMO its actually fine. It happend to me occassionally when the tuning was off and the bike wouldnt start normally without me giving it a good raise on the accelerator (apparently its a way to judge if the tuning/idle setting is right or not some say, as the bike on starting should start just normally without accelerating)

Long presses on repeated starting attempts would cause the battery low indicator to come on momentarily.

Yes, precisely. It comes on just for a fraction of a second and just vanishes. It happens JUST for the cold start (the first time I start, early morning). Anyhow, I guess, when I do go for the next servicing, would surely make the PBK guys check it out.

                    • Nothing to worry Aryan da, it happens and sometimes if I try to start the bike it happens in perfect warm day too...I always cross the three crank limit every time and the low batt message flashes for a sec...

regarding winter start all you can do is rev the bike lil before switching off previous night and use choke in first attempt to start the bike...

                        • Could someone tell me how much does the stickers of the Pulsar 200 cost? I just want the "200" part, is it available separately? Some "great" soul destroyed the stickers of both the rear panels completely..

                          God bless him/ her!
