        Perfect! Thanks a ton Rohit.

Those stickers of the P-200/ 220 are most vulnerable to damage. Any mischeivous being seems to hit on those stickers at the blink of an eye!

          • This is the first time i am posting here, I own a black 200 nearing 10000Kms on the odo (bought way back in MAY 08).
Just came across this video on youtube and was like

            Check this out,
            YouTube - shujat pulsar 200

Notice carefully, he does 60 in ~4 seconds and 100 in 10 seconds
And onto a top speed of ... well check it out
            How did he do that

So guys who have 200 with white tacho, let us know if bajaj have tweaked something in the engine/sprocket, maybe ktm/kawasaki gave them some inputs
Please do post what speeds you are able to do in 5th gear @ 8000 , 9000
and 10000(those who managed to touch) RPM
Old 200 can do 120 @ 9000 RPM after which its overrev

I also felt the engine to be more refined (motul 300V) in the video, no harshness that i have in my bike(i.e. beyond 5000 RPM).

Way to go bajaj, keep it up

            • Motul 300V is one essential i'd recommend to any 200 owner

You people are lucky as you can purchase the stickers separately.. I had to spend Rs.1300 on the Pulsar 200 sticker set.. Because I bought my Pulsar on May08 only 2 months after it was launched.. So they used to sell the stickers as a set only (containing 2 "Pulsar", 2 "200" and 2 "Oil cooled")..

1300 bucks is a little too much in my opinion, really; a LOT actually! I got the "200" stickers for Rs.82/- each.

So, taking all into account Rs.1300/- for the whole set is surely too much, although I am not sure what is the current price of the whole set.
                  :)

The price of the whole set is still 1340 Rs., but now these stickers available seperately too from probiking SS.

First off, congratulations for getting the P-200. What colour?

Secondly, didn't you get the user manual? Everything is mentioned there, in nice and clear words. Just follow that and everything would be as smooth as butter!
                        :)

Naah! No special tips as such. Just keep it under control atleast till the first service is done, and the rest should fall in place eventually.

P.S: Even I have a blue P-200.. Fell in love with that colour at the first glance itself..

                            • @ Wrick : for the first 3000k just forget about anything and everything you might be told by people to do and avoid the temptation of changing things/tuning etc.

Treat the bike with care. Learn and give it time. Get a "feel" of the bike. It's important and almost crucial to "learn" what it communicates. Trust me, it might sound funny but its really just like a parent learns to read what a child wants to express yet cannot say because its too young. Once you do master this understanding, it'l serve you well in dealing with a lot of issues and responses that will come with time.

                              • I just got my bike serviced. Runs nice now. Using 5100T now. It's pretty good too. Switching to 300V only next time. I was using mineral oil at first, and then switched to Motul mineral at my last service. Now I've switched to semi-synthetic. Didn't want to get it changed in one shot.
