Any sugessions for bike cover?
My bike wont be used for a month, so need a good cover which fits it fully. I have a avenger one which is v short in height, length is OK though.
Any other bike's (karizma?) cover that i can use.
Has anyone got a custom bike cover done?

After reading through pages "Let there be Light" and a lil tips from techy guys on the forum I got the Nightbreaker fixed last evening, also changed the coil to the Avenger one.
I'm loving it lot's. The illumination is quite impressive

U can try Enfield Machismo cover, that will fit. Also u can also ask Pro-Biking guys for the bike cover, cos i know in Coimbatore Pro-Biking guys sell it and fits perfectly for 200 & 220.Whenever there is a Rainbow in the sky, I know it's u mastering the art of Cornering. My bike is 1 year and a four months old, it has run nearly 15~16K kilometres, what i need to know is what are the periodical parts that need to have been changed by this time now (Till now the only thing changed on my bike apart from those during the accident is the disc pads)?I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.

I asked probiking mechanic from Auto Service regarding bike cover for 200 and this is what he told me,Originally posted by dual disc 200 View PostHey Mate,

"Sir there is no bike cover for 200 u have to use avenger's (this is short in height
) or pulsar 150's (this probably is short in length
). As such there is no bike cover specific to 200"
So gave a thought about Karizma or Custom Stitched one.
Hope Bullet's is not too long, let me check
If you have any idea about cost of bullet's (or karizma's) bike cover, please let me know.
Thank You.

If you do lot of highway riding then go for it.Originally posted by dual disc 200 View PostHey Praful,

I gave a thought about this N number of times.
With this sprocket mod you should get ~3% more top speed
So @9000 RPM instead of 126KPH you should be able to do 130KPH theoretically (for white tacho bikes) Or @9000 RPM instead of 120KPH you should be able to do 123-124KPH theoretically(for black tacho bikes).
There will be little less Noise Vibrations and Harshness (NVH).
If you dont want to spend on this, here is a sugession.
Catch hold of a P220 guy swap the rear sprocket with him for a day and do city and highway ride and see. If the P220 guy is happy with better acceleration he will surely change for the 200 sprocket at his next sprocket kit change. So its a win-win situation for both
Let us know if you do try it.
Anyone P220 owner in bangalore interested in swapping their rear sprocket for a day

Why the difference between them?Originally posted by cssk View PostIf you do lot of highway riding then go for it.

Well your logic was quite close enuf for the real reason. THe blocks cam tensioner is falling short, so the timing was getting screwd up. so had to weld it a little. the oil leak was due to a missing washer in the head. but surprisingly the leak started after completing 1000kms!! wer as it should have started after a 100 odd kms.. well the bike had become literally a drag bike coz of the sprocket & engine set up!!Originally posted by ritwik23 View Postwell as i see it...ur engine is spurting out oil frm the head coz there might not be adiquate sealing between the 200 block and the 180 head.as it is the block is larger. so the head may seem to be fitting correctly but the head being smaller there might not be proper sealing between the 2 faces i.e. the head and the block.try out the 200 head and the 200 head gasket.also, the 200 had a forced lubrication system where the oil circulates throughout the engine...even through the crankshaft, output and input shafts etc. as they have a channel for oil to go through them.they are kind of hollow.this might be y the 200 dosent overheat.
Secondly, yes the 200 has a 14t front sprocket and a 38t rear sprocket.so ur bike is a bit under geared.i'd suggest u to go for a 40T rear first to try out how it wrks.coz i dnt knw how ur bike will pull with such a small rear sprocket like the 38t.lemme knw how things go.
Cheers.

i think as essentially its a 200cc engine, 38T should be a perfect fit..and should get some decent top-end and i mean above 135...
Got bosch ka HID also, man is it drinkin up the battery oR wat!! hope to solve the glitches by the weekend...
wats the size of the 200's jet???
please be 100% sure and post. This is not orkut. Get some figures please. if you talk 'dia' wise it will make some sense.Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostFirstly the Chain pitch of the 180's is different and hence the rear sprocket may not be compatible.
Next 44T is a overkill and will put too much stress on your engine.
Currently the 38T rear is good and very very appropriate. If you still want to increase your acceleration, you could go for the ZMA's 40T rear sprocket. That will come at a loss of topend and you will have to be carefull not to redline it too much!
apart from that the rest of the post is common sense.
Cheers

I've just changed both my tires. I changed the front tire to the R15 front (80/90 17") and the rear tire to MRF VYDE (120/80 17"). Both the tires are soft compound, and I can tell you for sure that the grip is better than what the stock tires offer.
The difference with the front is that it feels a lot more nimble with the new R15 tires, and is a little bit more twitchy at high speeds. The plus side is that it offers oodles of grip - I'm actually able to pull stoppies now (which was not something I was able to do with the stock tires as they always kept locking up for me. Maybe my technique was wrong). They are a direct fit on the stock rims.
The rear tire seems to be offering more grip than the stock tires offered. My rear doesn't slide out so much anymore. Mind you, I won't know this for sure unless I get on the track and try it out. So far, so good.
@ELD: I tried out what you said. I've set the pressure at 26, and I tried turning while braking. It still seems to be perfect. I think I will experiment a bit more on the pressures before I go in for Nitrogen. Let me know when we can meet up so that you can try it out for yourself.
PS - I would want to head to Padi soon. I wanna try out some stunting.

of erratic Swiggy/Zomato/UberEats riders across all cities so we can cast a spotlight
on this issue and try and sort it out. If you video-record as you ride, or have a
dash-cam in your car, or can take SAFELY photographs of instances where these riders
are creating a nuisance by riding recklessly on the roads, PLEASE share the same with
us on the thread above. Appreciate it!

After my first set of sprocket kit wore out, I replaced it with the 220 kit. About 4kmph increase in topend.Topped out at 132 speedo. Black speedo. (2 years and 2 month old bike. One of the first 200's in Bangalore.) Slight improvement in cruising ability but now im searching for a front sprocket that is about a teeth more so I can swap it when I'm on the highway. Increasing one teeth in the front should make a difference but I hope it doesn't drag too much and end up frying my clutch. Not like there's too much life left in my clutch. Do remember that changing to the 220 rear sprockets will cause some friction b/w the chain and the rubber bit on the swingarm.Originally posted by cssk View PostIf you do lot of highway riding then go for it.

One thing is weird about this thread. Everyone has their own set of problems and the next post is a new problem by itself.Last edited by silver_falcon_46; 04-17-2009, 11:19 AM.sigpic
