Hes using a helmet mounted cam.

I definitely think it is a speedo error.

A sprocket mod would mean increase in either acceleration OR top speed. He has increase in both. Impossible for a stock bike.

85 kmph is quite high for 6000 rpms. But rather than the console, which is exactly similar with the old 200 with only the background pattern being different, I think there must be other variables that must be factoring.

My bike can do a maximum of 110 kmph, this being on the Bannerghatta road underpass once or twice (when it was kind of empty) and the bike would go no faster in that space.

I tried this top-speed testing on the new airport road and once again 110, but this time I had a pillion and we were not crouched much.

My Q is, to reach 128 kmph or whatever a 200 can do tops, does it take time to go from 110 to top speed? Or is something wrong with my bike?

I usually ride real easy, reaching about 4-5K RPM max. So does this affect the performance?

Oh, and as for that youtube video, what if the chap's going downhill? Would that be possible ? As he does not show the road/surroundings etc etc

First of all if you want to try top speed testing, choose a road with very minimal / no traffic and be extra alert!!!
Dont get too much carried away looking at the speedo or tacho

You cannot achieve top speeds with a pillion, try it alone.
Shift gears in the RPM band 8000 - 9500 from 3rd gear onwards.
Start crouching once shift into 5th gear, it will take lot of time to reach the top speed.

Since you always ride in 4-5K RPM band your engine may not be completely free to rev freely and do high speeds.
Only if you start hitting higher RPMs the engine will rev more freely owing to engine opening up.

I still am very skeptical about all this, and can't quite understand what all the fuss is about, IMO there can also be the possiblity that he's doing all this on a slightly downhill road, gear ratio is one thing but rolling momentum is totally another ball game, your velocity is considerably higher and therefore the bike may indicate a higher speed partly because of the slope acting on the bike. He might have fiddled with the gearing but still the final figure is way beyond the natural ability of this bike to touch, or he's probably running on a different profile of tyres (AFAIK, thinner tyres will display lower speeds, so i assume it's vice versa too) and hence his speedo is not callibrated accordingly

Speedo error for sure. thats about +14kmph speedo error! Thats huge! I'v noticed the white ones being a lil more optimistic compared to the older ones.

^^ I think it is fake,. Look at the engine area. You can sense some editing around it.

yeah. I think its a digitally modified pic...It can be used as an idea to modify P200's.

Does any1 know how much a iridium spark plug Costs...i have seen one quote on ebay..they are costing it around 550 bugs
