not much maybe a few mm

if you want to use it mainly in the city with no highway rides then go for it
check in pulsar 220 ownership thead (30-40 pages back from last page),
someone has already done it, check with him. i suspect the NVH will also increase because of higher and faster revving...

you mileage will also take a bit of beating because the engine will rev more to do a particular speed compared to stock, so expect atleast 5Kmpl drop with this mod.

Straight line stability is awesome. On stock tyre and soft setting the rear feels like its fluttering. This has completely stopped and feels awesomly stable.
Low speed stability is still good. But you will need to balance the bike a bit more.
The bike is a lot more easy to flick around now. Even at low speeds changing direction is a lot quicker now.
The biggest difference you will notice is the stability you get when leaning the bike. You can feel the rubber grip the road.
I'd tried contacting you. Have you fixed the front tire as well? Can you let me know how much the entire thing will set me back by? Both front and rear.

I don't think I'll be going to track either. But then, I'd still like to try the bike out before I fix mine. I'll see if I can meet you up sometime tomorrow, if you're not too busy. From the feedback that you've given so far, I guess I might as well just go in for it. Seeing as I've not got too many treads on my rear tire any more. I'm riding on almost slicks.

I checked it out in the mag today. I wish they could ship it too. I wouldn't mind going for the new one. It's a lot less expensive than the stock one, and seeing the condition that mine is in now, I'd definitely welcome the new ones. I believe they're available in cylindrical AND oval shapes.

              • ^^ Yeah me too, a lighter end-can can improve performance a lot in our machines, but i would like to know more about the can before going to buy it, also i want to know whether the carb needs to be re-jet

Yes...a bigger jet will give you oodles of torque.
but 4850 is a huge amount man!

I guess 4850 is not bad considering how much the stock exhaust costs.

Still 25% is being way to optimistic.

Considering the stock silencer is priced around 7K? Plus the claimed increase in power output would be approx 25%.Worth it in a way I say.

Actually in a way i can some how believe it, call me crazy but i've actually ridden a free-flow 200 some time ago, and we also happened to have a drag session with it, it simply ate the 220 at the middle of a quarter mile and simply shooted past, and the response in the mid-range was vicious, it was as though someone was rear-ending the bike everytime i crack it open. In case you're wondering the bike was a blue 200 owned by a member from Xbhp (inactive) called "zeyk", some of the members here are familiar with this hot-rod

Besides the free flow any other alterations?
