Hey Buds

hello everyone,
This is my first post on xbhp after the crash....My babe 'Fury' has just completed her 5th service and doing well....
I was thinking of changing her oil from the one used in pro biking to a fully synthetic one.....theres the motul 300v and the new castrol power racing one which does seem to have great properties (atleast according to the testimonials) ......
What do ya ppl thing........has anyone used these oils in de 200 and hows the bike runnin with these........

Also I'm thing of a few outright performance only mods......i want quicker acc figures without compromise in top end.........anyone have any suggestions???........... I was thinking of starting with the customary K&N............suggestions & opinions ppl...........

Lastly right now I'm chennai based as of now and i would like to know some places where these mods and small problems can be fixed.......lemme know asap ppl..........

^^ K&N doesnt really give you a big boost in performance outright by itself. Also i've heard of probs with the K&N and dust with our road conditions in India.

As for oils, Motul 300V, Valvoline 4T Premium are what was recommended to me. I'l be puttin her on Motul 300V tomorrow.

Hello everyone..... Just had a query. The p200 has a feature due to which the headlight doesn't turn on when you are starting the bike even if the switch is on. This particular feature is quite nifty, especially when using a HID. If you have left the headlight switch on by mistake, it might conk off during starting the bike... Can this feature be put on some other bike?? Say the FZ 16? Please comment....

some people here developed Replacement Filter for our air filter box,,,
using a cotton gauze like K&N, and it performs well near the K&N open filter which its cost just 1/3 of K&N....

with a little jetting and racing ignition coil (especially ignition coil from Yamaha YZ125 4ss series), P200 will scores up to 18hp on wheel...
while the standard one is 16,35hp on wheel....

Yo.....thx for that input..........i know that K&N doesn't give a direct boost in power but all i want to know is whether that is de better start to performance mods rather than jettin r changin the spark plugs...............what are the significant changes with K&N 's on p200's...........and which model do i go for..........

n more importantly where do ya get this stuff done in chennai......

Ma babe had a slight fall yesterday n got minor scratches.......thinkin whether to go to probikin r some other place............any nice mechanic in chennai speciualisin in p200's......some inputs pls guys..........

i havent done any mods myself so i really wouldnt be able to help you, but there are a few who can, im sure.

as for the last service. I finally poured in Motul 300V today

got 2x1L cans for a total of 1450/- and got it put in during service.

So far the feel is pretty good and the engine note feels much more compact, tho the run back has been short and a slight back strain has prevented me from an extended run. Im hoping to go for a longer run tomorrow.

Long term, i intend to keep a close eye on how the engine is.

I personally would not recommend K&N cuz that affects bikes performance in the long run, would rather suggest to change to Iridium spark plugs with power cable(which emit blue sparks) to boost engine performance.
Total cost:550*2 for spark pulgs + 600*2 for Power cables.

Guys since last few weeks the bike was not handling well. checked the tyre pressure and all was fine but it seems that the side treading of the tyre was out hence the bike was wobling.
I have got the same fixed but wonder if any has faced the problem.
Also i am planning to switch to a diffrent tyres any suggestions?

What is Pulsar 200's STANDARD Jet size?

Friends, some time back I had installed a K&N 1060 . As I was not happy with the bike's performance, I reverted back to the stock air box. Could anyone please educate me as to what is the STANDARD jet size of the Pulsar 200 as I have misplaced my stock jet?

My bike is not running well even after reverting to the standard air box and jet. I t is also returning a mileage of 29 to 30 kilometers to the litre of IOC Extra Premium that I am using from day one.

Tyre sealent (e.g. - Ride-On) in P200's tyres

The Pulsar 200 has tubeless tyres. Will injecting them with a liquid tyre sealent (Ride-On) be of any use? With this additional weight in the tyres affect the bike's handling? I do not want to compromise handling at any cost?

Though, I'm not sure if anyone has tried a liquid sealant, but definitely there would be slight changes in handling with the extra mass in the tyres, plus the rolling mass in tyre when in motion. But can't exactly predict the exact effect!!!

Btw, how'z ride-on? never heard of it, have you considered Slime?

I tried out the liquid sealant !! what i didnt try is somethin tht i need to think

I have tried the liquid sealant... Slime in July. have not had any punctures after that for abt 4 mnths.. only recently i had a puncture to fix

...
@ Praful : U know how good/bad my bike handles !!
