we dont know the exact quantity of fuel that can be filled in the tank. The best i feel is when bike hits reserve, fill some fuel say 1-2L of petrol and then again ride till reserve and check the mileage.

Approx 2L is useable in reserve mode. Approx 1L (shud be less around 700ml or less IMHO) is un-useable for various reasons.

So over time if you average out the reading using the tank-full method, you get a very good idea of what the fuel efficiency is.

        • Has anyone tried installing FZ16 front and rear tyres in there 200?
My 200s tyres need changing and i was seriously looking at FZs tyres.

          • ^ Yes I have seen many 200/220s with the FZ tyres, apparently they are a direct fit. The top speed will drop due to the lower profile of the FZ tyre.

As per some of my frnds. they've installed FZ's front.. and it's working good.. for rear i would personally prefer the IRCs(2400INR) or the Zapper VYDE(1600INR)..

what's the size of your front tire?

if it has bigger height than standard tires then you're speedo will not be accurate, maybe decrease in reading...

question: is it recommended to use power one racing castrol 10w-40 fully synthetic oil in our pulsar 200? i have a mileage of 1,100+kms... planning to change in 1,500kms. pls. review this oil.

Is it a Pirelli sprts deamon on ur bike`s front?

I was thinking about going for Sports Deamon front and rear set-up.

                            • hey!

ok i've been gone a long long time now! apologies!
                              To the ongoing queries:
I've upgraded both my front and rear tyres to those of the FZ (MRF), they they seem ok so far, excellent road tyres but shit off road! I got them purely due to lack of choice and availability, considering I'm in Arunachal now!
My speedo kicked the bucket at 13500Kms, a year back, I'm guessing I've crossed the 20k mark. Annoying vibes are setting in at 4000 rpm and above, though the 220's chain/sprockets have made cruising a lot easier. I think my clutch is nearing toast 'cos downshifting is a ***** nowadays.
I was wondering, is it a sane idea to plonk in the 220's venturi carb in the 200?

Buddy the specified grade is 20W50. The digit to the left of "W" refers to the performance of the oil at low temperature. The lower that value the lower the temperature which the engine oil can withstand.
The value to the right of "W" refers to the performance of oil at 100C i think so. The higher the value the better is the ability of the oil to withstand higher temperature abuse.!
So choose the oil as per that.
