IMO its the transparent film coating over the LCD console that comes on all Bajaj digital instru panel bikes. If its bugging you then you can remove that by peeling it off. But its meant to be there to prevent scratches to the LCD panel.

Try Michelin and Pirelli as well.
Thanks mate..like any specific model no.?????
should look good and better grip..........

Now the tyre that come in 220 are soft compound tubeless while the older 220 and 200 have the normal tubeless tyres. The soft compound ones are better!!

Try Michelin Sirac. Many have tried those on their 220 and it gives good results and good grip even while off roading.
      My thoughts...

If looks does not matter then go for R15's tires.. One of the best available..Sticks onto the road like anything

P200's tires are hard compound and P220's are Soft compound.. Being owned both bikes i can say there is lots of difference in the tires

Do you think R15's tyre will be able to manage the pulsar structure?
I've got no idea about this so just out of curiosity..

Best would be to go for the same size. Also check out MRF Vyde. They have pretty good tread pattern and won't be hard to find.

                  • i changed my tires to front perilli 100/80 and rear IRC 130/70 at 25000km.
                    perilli and IRC are awesome.
A good mechanic will let u watch without charging u for it!

How is the handling after that?
How is the effect on fuel efficiency, pick up, top end and braking?

Yes.. R15 and P200's alloys are 17" so it wont be a problem at all.. Many xBHPians have done it

R15 tire is the best in the league now! No doubts in it... Dont go for it if you care for looks more than handling !

P220's Soft compound is also a option...Its not good as R15's but yes the difference is huge when compared to Hard compound P220's tire

handling is perfect!!cornering is more stable, more confidence to lean!
i did not check the fuel efficiency but i dont think there is a huge difference!
i have gained on pick up, but lost top end, the max i can do now is 117 to 120!
                          braking is awesome.
IRC and perili are too good on dry road. donno about the wet(have to wait for rains)

Consider the fact that the R15's alloy was specifically designed for a 120kg payload bike and you're putting that on a bike that weighs 148~150 kgs, and will DEFINITELY have adverse effects on your handling!

EDIT: There's no doubt you're reducing the unsprung weight of your bike and may aid performance but in the long run it'll end up getting worn out or damaged badly even under normal riding conditions, because the stresses are beyond it's normal margins

I also kinda thought the same and wanted to know how correct it is.
                              Anyways how's your bike going?
Read this thread from the start and got to know about the thrashing your bike underwent and then again resurrected.

Baby's been back on the road for nearly a good year now knock wood, no reason for me to complain other than usual niggle here and there, and then before I got too comfortable with my bike had another crash on it, though hopefully this time saved it from any major structural damage. Though the bike is now sporting a few more scars. But somehow now I'm more attached to my bike than I ever was strangely.
