It means the bugger who did the PDI for my bike at Khivraj pbk told me a lie!!!
That bugger told me the values as 25/35 and me trusting them never checked those in the manual. I never checked that on the swing arm also even though I was washing my bike almost every weekend myself.

      • Guys i got a problem!! Because i was out of India, My bike was idle for two months and seven days.. Before going abroad i drained out the whole oil and the petrol, now i'm flying back and i have to get my bikes service done... So is it safe to pour a new oil without getting the bike serviced.. i would just have to ride for 35 kms to the service center....

Yes, put new oil in your bike, start it and go to SC for servicing. But, the battery might have discharged in the 2 months time.

Which service number would this be?
In any case they would be changing the oil. Right?
Just speak to pbk people once and if they agree then change the oil yourself and the remaining things can be done at the service centre.

Not necessary. Did you had any additional accessory like electronic lock installed in your bike?
If no then chances are there that you bike's battery may still be alive.

So i guess battery wont be an issue...

Did you drained the oil before keeping it idle for two months.. because it says in the manual that if the bike is kept stationary for a month or two, the oil and the fuel should be drained out dry..

Glad to hear that the bike did not cause any problem while starting... btw does the main stand has anything to do with the battery life..

Simple steps to bring it alive again(Of course after you've put back the oils):-

                            1. Press hold the clutch.
                            2. Press the starter and raise the throttle a bit.
                            3. Once the bike comes to life, pull on the choke and let it be on choke for a minute or so.
                            4. After that ride your bike for 4-5km at slow speed around (25-30) to let the oils circulate.
                            5. Then its all yours to rip it out

Yes bajaj service centers are closed on Sundays (at least here in Bangalore). Try going on a weekday to get a better service coz of less rush..!

based on that selection can be done for the tyres.
