As for the cone set, first ask the PBK guys to tighten it and ride for 2-3 days. If the noise comes back then it means a replacement.
guys, why does the cone set break?

      • service confusion

        Sup guys..
I am new to this forum and unfortunately quite nooby when it comes to bike engines and all technical stuff.. currently i own a black pulsar200 dtsi. and clocked 6kays on it. And soon i am gonna get a free service done for the first time. yup it is gonna be my first free service in pbk. I usually get my bike serviced from my personal mech.. so i was wonderin wheather is it safe to get it serviced over there. I live in mumbai. but currently out of India, and gonna return back after fifteen days.
        cheers -- the departed

Buddy when did you buy your P200???
Coz its been quite a while since P200 was taken out from the market and you've done only 6km and planning for first free service

or by 6K you mean 6000km and planning to get your bike serviced at probiking for the first time?? If this is the case then they might create a little problem regarding earlier services which should've been done by them as per the schedule.
          My thoughts...

its been almost an year since i have bought my pulsar. what i meant by 6 kays is that i have clocked 6000km on it.. the reason for clockin less in much time is because i usually stay out of india... and whenever i fly back i dont get time to get it serviced at pbk because it is quite far away from my place so i get it serviced from a local mech..
it woudnt matter for them creating problem for my bikes service.. infact they can cancel some of my free service because of late arrival...
i even heard that the pbk guys are not as good for customer satisfaction

And IMO they might create a little fuss related to days or if you've got some mechanic with good rapport then i don't think it will be any issue for you.

Well not all probiking guys are a pain some are co-operative and take utmost care in servicing the bike but even i'm yet to see anyone like this but i've read about these kind of pbk people as posted by people.

                thanks for the link.
A friend of mine recently took his p200 to the pbk for a free service.. and to his surprise he got it back whithin two hour with a heavy bill of 2.7k. and the ride was a default and did not had any serious replacement. just an oil change, brake liner and stuffs like that. when my friend got pissed over the bill they told him that there were many errors with the bike.. so they had to replace a couple of parts..GOSH is that a goddamn reason.. these guys are just pathetic

Did they mention the details in the bill for the 2.7K they charged???

Well the service used to take at the most 2-3hrs if once it goes in for cleaning. Cleaning and then service and then polish used to take at the most 2-3hrs.

The best is to never leave the bike for service and come back, just stay there, it will cost you some time but then its worth it.
It may help you in building rapport with the service person, you even get to know about the things and the best part is they can not fool you for anything

When i used to go for service of my 200 i never left it there and went for office. I would prefer going late or take an off but always was there at pbk service centre. I used to ask the service engineer many questions to which he used to reply telling the need of that particular job/part.

yeah there were many things listed on the list but my friend usually took his ride for a routine check up to a local mech.. and there were no faulty thingy in the ride. And besides that he had just clocked less than 4000kms. Well i dont think his bike parts needed to b replaced..
yeah buddy you are probably right about the pbks, we should wait in the service station till the ride get serviced... and merely annoy them asking stupid questions...

                      Exactly!!!!
In this way you get to know certain new things as well and the mechanic also feels important

Also replaced rear tire for 130/70-17 KENDA and front tire for FZ's front which is 100/80-17. No more slipping with breaking
