well that depends on WHICH way your bike is handling... traditionally the 200's dont corner well requiring adjustment of body weight to keep the front going where you want it to without letting the rear slide.Originally posted by ajayreddy View Postguys... in addition to responding to the above query, can you please suggest whats the best suspension settings for achieving a good degree of handling.. my p200 is driven SINGLE RIDER most of the time minus the pillion...
For the 200, the suspension setting should be ideally chosen for a balance of the ride comfort with the cornering ability.

This is a sort of comparison between Delhi and Bangalore...in an ownership sense.
In Bangy my daily commute was JP Nagar - Bannerghatta Road - Dairy Circle.
The entire stretch would be crowded even on Sunday afternoons.
Other places I'd visit : Jayanagar, BTM, Basavangudi, Nagarbhavi etc etc, all had the same characteristic: one always felt the need for an empty place...a highway or thereabouts (I know I did)
My average speed in Bangy used to be 40, 60 at best.
Then I shift to Delhi. My parents don't allow me to ride a bike but I took it out a few times on the sly
Lots of roundabouts, great empty stretches, superb, freshly laid tar, sleepy, unconcerned Delhi cops, NO INTERCEPTORS SO FAR ...what a place!
They've really done this place up for the upcoming C'Wealth games.
Which means: Freshly-laid roads!
...and what roads..my house is near the Chanakyapuri embassy area...oho...what roads...I use the 1st to 4th gears only while getting to the main roads and at signals. The rest of the time is spent at >6K rpm in 5th.
Always, while riding, there's an unconscious upshift-attempt to the nonexistent 6th cog...
Now I feel some part of R15 owners enjoyment here...
I wanted to get one. But no $ so I'll stick to this bike.
I keep to speeds of 60-70, which, while being high, seems to be the average speed of everyone else around here. And I remember being overtaken by an electric scooter at the start, while I was still in Bangalore mode.
Now some may say this impression I've formed is location-subjective and not all of Delhi is like that. Well, that's my impression so far.
If I was not freezing I'd try and sneak out more often.
The cheaper price of petrol here is negated by the lower mileage due to high-rpms.
I wish this bike had better handling for those roundabouts...
I still feel the need for a 6th cog...
Delhi is my new home
and the 5th is the new 4th.200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER

Help needed..
I fit K&N R - 1100 air filter inside the airbox of my bike....which was a very very tedious task, which involved cutting a flap of the sealed airbox, and putting it back again ( liek a surgery)
.
However, now the exhaust is hot!! i am worried about my engine..
the pbk guys here dont have the jet assembly for the pulsar 180, which is larger than that of the pulsar 200..
any advice....
plus i also fir the stator plate of avenger 180 and osram nightbreaker...and believe me..it gives me awesome light...earlier i had to strain my eyes while riding at higher speeds..now its stress free...
please someone advice me about rejetting...i dont have a pulsar 180 jet...how do i manage without that..
and what else can i do to cool down my engine..

My 200 is now 18k kms old and since las 2k kms she has developed a lot of viberations. Viberations have increased above 5k rpm
. Any idea what could be the reason?
Also I am a little bored off her looks now. Planning to install 220 fairing, Forks and clip-on sets. I know buying a 220 will be cheaper, but i just cant make up my mind to sell off my 200. She is running trouble free since last 2yrs.
Will go to Bajaj mechanic with L.P next week.. lets see what happens .Street racing is for Squids trying to make up for their small equipment

You might have problems with mounting the 220's fairing onto the 200 because in the 220 the fairing is mounted only on the neck of it's fork, and nowhere else. Also the fairing will be more prone to vibrations later because of it's weight.Originally posted by riot View PostMy 200 is now 18k kms old and since las 2k kms she has developed a lot of viberations. However, there is another 20W50 rated oil from Castrol - the Castrol Active Xtra which is meant specifically for motorcycles.
It's hard to procure but I have used that oil extensively on my P180 Classic, which incidentally also required 20W50 grade oil, and it performed flawlessly.
Thanks Aryan
,
Actually me too used GTX extensively in my old SuzukiFiero and still running with it fine,
Me too planned to try out this ActiveX this time in my P200.

quite honestly, thats really surprised me... I expected to run out at 580 km or so.. lol
so a quick math for the numbers so far..
715/17.97 = 39.78 kmpl
715/15 = 47.6 kmpl!! (since i believe for the P200 the tank capacity is 15Lt useable?? give or take and when i topped the tank before that i had already covered quite a few km's with her in reserve)
earlier whenever i used the reserve to reserve method... i'd usually get around 39kmpl-40kmpl
This is Absolutely true dude......
mine went to 728kms (in full tank to reserve) ie. 15litres
Now it does some 630-640 only. [His Age is now 1.4years & 18,700kms]
People were stunned n started believing in pulsars then.

What is the maximum speed limit for pulsar 200 after 2nd service?
Today i did 2nd service of my pulsar 200 (odo = 2507km). I put Mobil 20w50 on 1st service. But these time, i bought Motul 5100 15w50 oil. I think i am feeling the motul power now
.

So guys, Bike's manual says some speed limits until 2500 km. so i wanna know is it ok to forget the speed limits now?

yup, the fairing`s weight will be a lil problem. However, i will be upgrading to 220 forks to correct this problem.Originally posted by EL LOCO DIABLO View PostYou might have problems with mounting the 220's fairing onto the 200 because in the 220 the fairing is mounted only on the neck of it's fork, and nowhere else. My current 200 fairing vibrates like it will fall off anytime, atleast 220 fairing wont vibrate that much
