    • just an update on my Tank to reserve average check..

filled a full tank to the top with 17.97Lt's Speed from BP and so far its covered 715km's without hitting reserve yet...

quite honestly, thats really surprised me... I expected to run out at 580 km or so.. lol

so a quick math for the numbers so far..

      715/17.97 = 39.78 kmpl
715/15 = 47.6 kmpl!! (since i believe for the P200 the tank capacity is 15Lt useable?? give or take and when i topped the tank before that i had already covered quite a few km's with her in reserve)

earlier whenever i used the reserve to reserve method... i'd usually get around 39kmpl-40kmpl

there are many fake Formula 1 in the market...I'm using 3M polish and waxpol for plastic/vinyls and its just perfect for me.

Waxpol is for 100rs and 3M is for 80 bugs and trust be, You can just make your beast look the best.(If white 3M not available, then There is a black colored one as well, same. design)

3M is to be applied on tank, sides of the bike
Waxpol: rear mudguard, front(half is plastic ), speedometer(dashboard), ,indicators.

PS: whatever is matt/dull in colored on the bike, use leather and vinyl polish else 3M

              • @jasonkumar: I didn't get the idea of you posting all those photoshopped pictures off the net, here, on the P200 thread.

Anyhow, my P200 has almost completed 20,000kms. and she is running like a dream, still. No problems, no issues whatsoever. Just the regular servicing is all she needs. I am in love with the P200. This is, without a doubt, one of the best lookers of the Pulsar family, till date with performance to boot!
                :)

Just a little bit curious so asking this:

"Did you mean that, apart from servicing your bike didnot required clutch plates changes, other regular check-up's and If i am correct then your bike has just seen some days in hospital"

Sorry, donot take it as offence.

Yes, it has been into the "hospital" for a few days when it did get stolen in the month of February, this year. But, the P200 hasn't been through any major issues at all, apart from the clutch plate change once and regular oil changes.

                    P.S: No offence taken.
                    :)

                      !!
I remembered that some time ago nearly 2 weeks or 1 month ago it(Blue P200,Xbhp) was in PBK for 5-6 days.

                      • ^^^ Aryan, did your P200 need a clutch plate change even for your kind of riding?

Did you face any slippage and change them or was that pushed on to you by the SC guys?

I have seen a couple of P200's that were ripped decently hard and didn't need a clutch plate change till they were sold when the odo reads near about 20K KMs.

That was because a nail has gone through the rear tyre and had damaged the rear alloy. Insurance took care of it.

@Hydbiker: I got them changed myself at the 18,000kms. mark. They did not force me or even ask me to get it changed.
                          :)

                          • My P200 is about a year n half old and has done 20k kms. I have one unusual problem.
I always adjust my headlight setting so that it should point to the ground but after a few days (or maybe after it hits a dozen of bumps) the deeper points staright ahead and upper into the sky.
Again I have to adjust the screw setting below the headlamp.
I showed it to the Sinhagad probiking showroom in Pune and they said tht nothing can be done and you might require to change the whole unit itslef
No way I am gonna do that.
Anyone faced this kind off issue??

Just clean the bike thoroughly with water using mild shampoo. After that, use a dry cloth to wipe out all the water.

First apply formula one on tank, sides of the bike, some of it on front(just above headlight). Spread it evenly with a cloth and leave it for some time.
Till then use waxpol vinyl polish in plastic parts and they will give u instant shine. Use a sponge for this.
Now take a dry cloth and rub it on the tank and the sides. You will see the shine.
                              and then take some photographs
                              its all about CC...
