well i had that problem.went to the PBK and they said it was due to the accelerator cable getting stuck somewhereOriginally posted by HydBiker View PostYou should change the clutch plates when you see loss in pickup and/or if the engine is revving without the bike moving forward in equation.
The 20K change thing seems to be Bajaj's suggestion for Pulsar 150 and above. But I have seen a good number of Pulsars that needed a change by 15K KMs and also some Pulsars running good at 30K KMs without a change.
Bottom line: Depends on your usage. Watchout for the symptoms.
.so i got my cable replaced.now its fine but there is a slight increase in rpm when idle.
wow..i changed mine by 17000km!!Originally posted by rohitmundra View PostI've already done 30K kms and still my clutch plates aren't changed. You once mentioned that if you see the speed is less at a particular RPM than the original speed, then its a sign that the clutch plates have to be changed.

Indeed. More so when accelerating than when you are at a steady speed.Originally posted by rohitmundra View PostI've already done 30K kms and still my clutch plates aren't changed. Again, if the plates are good they won't effect anything else. Irrespective of how much you have clocked. For any vehicle.

The whole thing came to about 3k (only for clip-ons). An extra plate was welded on to the base plate of the clip-on set. The fitting was done by a friend of mine. He does not have a garage or anything, he just loves to tinker around!Originally posted by tanay View PostHow did you fit on the 220 clip-ons while keeping the stock suspension? There must be a workaround right? Could you please tell me the cost and the place in Bangy you got that done?
However, if something like this done, the warranty is void instantly, just keep that in mind! I personally am not bothered by warranty, so I got it done.Last edited by guardian_in; 12-07-2009, 11:31 PM.You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

My friend did all the fitting, modifications. The rear disc is pretty easy to fit, most of it is a direct fit.Originally posted by fxx View Posthi mate just checked out ur pics !! nice mod u got there
