Whereas in a Anti-lock Braking System the ECM detects a wheel about to lock/ detects lack of grip and adjusts braking to prevent a skid.
About the hand-grips, why don't you try going for a good set of gloves? I mean a 40km daily commute is a pretty good excuse to get yourself a full gauntlet gloves (Covers till your wrist), a good gloves prevents a hurting palm and also protects it during a spill. As you said throttle grips will "deaden" the throttle feel and finer throttle adjustments become problematic, though that is how i personally feel.
IIC the braking pressure isn't distributed between the 2 wheels- only the hydraulic pressure is regulated at the disc end. it flows at a controlled rate, so it prevents 'rushing' of brake fluid, thus preventing lock-ups. what you're talking about is Honda's combined braking system, you get it on their big bikes and now even the activa (just CBS, no anti-lock).

    • Oh, my bad but won't the "regulated" fluid flow sort of soften the feel of the brake, i would still prefer my brakes sharp so that i can control them accordingly, anyway thanks for the correction

In layman terms Fully synth's will last longer and engine will be smoother when compared with Semi-synth Since u have completed 30k kms i recommend using Semi-Synth only

What i've seen is when ppl change to Motul 300v near 5k kms, the oil leakages are quite low at that time... Its better you use Motul 5100T (Semi-Synth) now.. Knocking sounds are quite normal in Indian bikes... May be AF ratio is lean... Experts plz comment

                      • I'm having an annoying problem with the gearbox recently, every time i shift from first to second beyond 4500rpm slipping the clutch, the bike lodges in neutral and refuses to up-shift. I have to go to first and then shift again to second at below 4000rpm to slot second. At first i thought it was because of a used clutch plate but then even after it's replacement there is absolutely no improvement, does anyone have any idea why?

Handling has been a problem after the tyre changed to 90/120-17
                          Can ne one clarify this:
                          1. Do we need to continue with the regular air pressure of 32 PSI(with Pillon) or does it need to be reduced.
2.Are there any Mods required to make handling better after the change in the tyre profile?
