  • Hi Guys,
My babe is 11 months old, 15000 kms in ODO, yesterday got a new silencer replaced under warranty. She is in SVC now for insurance claim for front magwheel. Dont know when she will be back in track
Durvesh helped a lot to get the new silencer, initially the SVC guys were not very much interested to change it but the PBK person came into picture and sorted out. Now waiting for the magwheel part.

Yeah! To be honest I really never ever had any serious problem with my P200 and I am proud to state that.

Btw..what is the mileage figure you guys getting?
I recently got a mild shock with the mileage figures ticking at 54kmpl..
      HUGE! for a 200 non-fi!
Though the shock was due to the fact that all this came only under the city premises and in the tyre to tyre traffic (read it bumper to bumper traffic!).

        • the new naked 220 is what the 200 should have been.. i've asked this on the news thread as well.. anyone know if the improvements on the 220s can be retrofitted to our existing 200s?

btw.. for those who have the lag with the Osram bulbs.. it is normal but the lag is not significant if the coil is changed to the Avenger 180's

Well mine is ticking close to 25,000 kms and 2 year's.

Even I used to get around 40-43 kmpl (am a Sane rider, at time's I can overrun many Uncle ji's in ''I am the slowest race'') but 54 after servicing is just Incredible.
Though re-checked and no I am relived to see the figure's coming down at 50kmpl.
At that mileage figure I felt like someone had sucked off 150cc's from my 200cc's engine and I am left with only 50cc's to race the damn luna's around.

Even I am used to pull off those smart mini wheelie's and stopie's when in freebie mood, I guess that's the reason behind my frequent disc pad's change.

              • After the 1st service, i changed the mirrors. Now she has a cool sporty look
Also bought two iridium IX plugs and replaced the stock ones and 20W50 Mobil Engine oil . Odo showing 1450km. 2nd service is on the way. I am thinking to change the meter panel bulb (which emit orange color) to a white color bulb. Can any one give me some description about this bulb? is it a LED?

Nope...its not a bulb. The console is a sealed assembly and the orange backlight is integrated on to the circuit board.

I had got a chance to open up a broken console from an accident case.

Note: The backlighting is done by very small LED's, the type which are directly soldered on to the board and have a form factor like a very small cuboid, as opposed to a regular cylindrical LED. But replacing those LED's would require pulling apart the console and to do that you have to break a few seals. Don't know if it will work on reassembly though.

Well, I have ported over some of the features of the 220 on my 200. I have not fitted the fairing, as I am not a fan of it personally. But I have changed over to the 220 clip-ons and a rear disc brake. You can take a look at the pics on my album here - xBhp.com : The Global Indian Biking Community - guardian_in's Album: The BEAST!! Have also fitted an Osram NB with the Avenger 180 coil. And yes, the lag is not significant, it does not bother me.

Oh crap! Even I have been wanting to change the orange light to a blue or white one! But it looks like a very complicated procedure from what you say. Oh well, thanks for the info anyway!

                      • Looks like the 200's are going to loose their exclusivity after the release of Naked 220.

                        • ^ Nah..whatever "exclusivity" was there has already disappeared when the UGIV 150s and 180s released.

The silencer of P200 always made it recognisable in UG4's which are just duplicate of 200 and looks penny infront of P200 due to small silencer. I too own a UG4

i bought my bike in Apr 09, and till date i have done only 6700 km. I had one bad fall in Aug, when i fractured both bones of my right forearm, but my bike got away with only superficial scratches on the fairing.

Now am planning to fully mod my bike: here are the details..

                              1. K&N R1100 air filter with pulsar 180 jet.
                              2. Osram 60/55 W Night Breaker H4 with Avenger 180 coil
                              3. NGK Iridium spark plugs with Splitfire cables
                              4. Rear Disk assembly

i'll change the rear tyre to MRF Vyde after a few months...

Could anyone give me the approximate cost of the entire modding..

K&N will probably cost around 2k with the jet. Osram NB is between 1200 to 1400 for a set of 2, they do not sell singles. Avenger coil is approx 550. NGK plugs will again be between 1200 to 1400. No idea about the cables. Rear disc brake assembly will set you back by about 10k approximately, as you will have to purchase the disc brake kit, rear mag alloy, swingarm, and a few other things.
