I have heard that the decals on p200 is a real pain, because it is quite easy to peel off... And in Mumbai battery stealing is common
.. so guys i was wondering to install an autocop on my p200... and i heard that it comes with a starter on the remote..is it worth it and is it sensitive enough to go off if someone tries to steal the battery or peel of the decals... Because of its siren and all fancy stuffs does it drains of the battery fast..
Secondly..
is it possible to get a graphic job done on a bike.... like skulls an stuffs
(not stickerings)..
how much will both of these jobs set me back by...
Would appreciate inputs..

My bikes rear 200 and 20 were gone and had to buy the complete set just coz of that
.
You can install an auto cop but then the warranty on electricals would be gone! I got one for myself and when took it to pbk at the time of service they told that if its fixed it will void the warranty as it involves cutting of wire. Now i'm not sure how honest they were coz when i was booking the bike they only offered one such electronic lock to be fit in the bike

And if you make the lock's sensitivity such high that even if someone tries to peel the decal it goes off then trust my words that your bike will be a toy and kids will love to fiddle with that!!!
I've seen the same happening with cars in my colony

Try purchasing the auto cop lock from the pbk and your warranty might not go offOriginally posted by the departed View PostWell voiding my electric warranty, want cause a lot problems..

yeah they have the autocop (i think its called blackcat) made by Bajaj itself.Originally posted by the departed View PostDo they sell autocop at the pbks...

I have it for over a year now and dont have any issues with it. It was installed by sai service bajaj themselves and there's no problem with the warranty etc.
Also dont believe any of those battery draining nonsense. If you use your bike daily, it doesnt drain the battery. Also you can safely keep your bike parked for a month with the system armed and it should be fine.
I too had my battery stolen twice... that was enough for me to get this installed since my old residence didnt have a secure parking and i used to park it near my friends place on the ground floor in a colony at the end of my building. Didnt ever happen after installing the system.
Now though i dont use it much since i've moved to a new residence that has guarded parking.

I differ here a bit. They do consume the battery and if kept for a pretty long period without bike being started even once or battery not charged then you can end with a drained battery. The same happens with the cars as well. Also dont believe any of those battery draining nonsense. [QUOTE=harshit.d;390529]well considering it comes made by bajaj with straight fits to bajaj bikes.. i have no idea why anyone would have their warranty compromised by it in the first place.

as for the battery draining, prolly its a combination of factors... but if you use ur bike daily and ur battery is normal.. there's no noticeable drain at all.
also like i said, i had my bike stand still for a month when i was abroad.. give or take a few days & i didnt have any issues with the battery

I am quite familiar with the word black cat... But i did not knew that bajaj itself sold it.. And i was just curious that it would drain of the battery easily, as my cars autocop did...
but now if Absoluthavok is already saying that his bike was idle for a month or so, then i think i got one hell of a deal here. It would be worth it...
@Absoluthavok..
Can i plz know were exactly did you get the blackcat autocop from. I mean which service center.. And what was the cost of it... did they charged for the fitting...Last edited by the departed; 03-09-2010, 03:54 AM.

What new P200? The 200 has been discontinued permanently. There is a Street version of the 220 due to popular demand.Originally posted by blackprince View PostAny News about new P200 ?
There are other old rumours floating around that there might be a Pulsar 300, but I don't think that will ever happen, as it could adversly affect the sales of their own Ninja. You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

Hitting ninja is beyond imagination but the first thing it will hit is its elder sibling 220!!Originally posted by guardian_in View PostWhat new P200? The 200 has been discontinued permanently. There is a Street version of the 220 due to popular demand.

And when we have a 220S and 220F then why would one think of going for a 200 (18PS) which is 3PS lesser!!!
And moreover the cost at which i had bought my 200 is more than the current cost of 220S here in Bangalore

So all the thoughts for new P200 can "Rest In Peace"

Well bear in mind that my bike had a new battery installed after the old one got stollen and at that time i used to ride my bike daily, so it could have easily given me a 1 month standby time with the system armed. Hence i said it could be different factors involved, but on the safe side 15days too shouldnt cause it to drain.Originally posted by the departed View PostI am quite familiar with the word black cat... The system was fitted at the Sai Service Bajaj centre in Phoenix Mills, Parel. But if you're far from Parel, you can check with their Andheri one.
Since I'm not too far from Parel, i get all my servicing done there.. and this system too was installed by them in about 10mins flat. No major wiring alterations & i didnt face any issues in the rain at all. So i can vouch for their work. Specifically i get my bike attended to by only one particular mechanic who's work is detailed and trustworthy, so much so that i dont give it to any of the other guys there.
