The vibrations are not visible or even felt on my bike too, I only came to know about them when i had putted a bike cleaning cloth in the area between VISOR and DASHBOARD. The cloth always comes out of that place when i revv. the bike at some 6K RPM.

      • Even i face the same problem with the vibs that comes from the fairing.. its real annoyin... whenever i rev up to 5k rpm the vibs are really spooky and it feels that the whole fairing will come down..

I did not had this problem when the bike was doing around 3k kms on the odo.. but recently i had a crash, resulting in this massive vibs..

what can possibly be wrong... and actually is there any way to get rid of this bloody vibs...

recently i just got fed up with the vibs and took it to a nearby mech, to remove the fairing and install a round headlight. but the mech found this job tough and told me that its not his piece of cake, and advised me to get this done from a professional modification garage.. is it advisable.. i mean will the bike look any better than what it is now.. will the vib die...

        Needed some help guys

yes may be the round head light will look good ala classic 180 and most probably the vibes will go away ..!! but the prob is tat ur digi console will be exposed to all elements of weather and if im not wrong the bcu lies in the faring u don want any water seping in there and creating problems with ur bike electrics..so may be u could try puting the rubber between the mountings etc as suggested by rennycornelius .. even then the problem persists u can try the round headlight as the last resort

did u consult the pbk regarding this issue ?? wat did they reply ??

thanks for the info guys..and can someone please enlighten on the different mileage figures i am getting for different levels of petrol filled? thanks in advance.
also, can someone please explain the significance of the bolts in the thin rod coming out of the swingarms (it look similar to our back brake adjustment caliper assembly)?

                • ^Those thin rods are for axle adjustment (forward-backward).
When you/mechs adjust your chain slack then both nuts are tightened/loosened equally as the axle has to be kept perpendicular to the swingarm.

I used to get mileage in the range of 43-45 always and in this i used to rip, ride sanely and even rode in bumper to bumper traffic so kind of mixed riding style with all sort of conditions!!!
                    How much you getting??

                      @ harshit.d

I guess your red p200 that is displayed in your avatar has a white speedo... so does mine.. but have u experienced any faulty speed errors.. because many of the guys from Xbhp claim that the white console has faulty errors...

just wanted to be sure... Weather this is true or not..

Is it possible that the white speedo p200 has been slightly upgraded. though i doubt it has.. this is a theory again from an xbhpian...

What I heard was this white one was more accurate

What are the speedo readings that you get for each gear at 4k rpm?
Maybe with that we can get the info and then compare this with a 200 having black speedo to get the difference if any

                        • Im just about approaching the 10,000km mark. Are there any major checks that need to be done @ 10K??

Right now i have absolutely no problems with my bike.. atleast major ones.

The vibes from the fairing that everyone's complaing about is also on mine... it's typical of Bajaj's quality on the 200's.
The clutch tends to get tight and clunky due to the dirt the plate accumulates. This becomes normal after it's cleant at every service.

Other than these.. there are no significant issues at all.

Mileage has been steady at around 40-42 kmpl
