  • Hi! I recently bought a Pulsar 200, last month in fact...I have read this entire thread, and I have really got to know a lot! Coz this is my 1st motorbike, before this, i have only used gearless 2 wheelers linke kinetic and honda dio and activa.

I have 1 question for now, when do I switch the fuel knob to reserve, when the red light switches on on the panel, or when the engine keeps getting cut?

    • @Guardian: Even though the 'low fuel' warning light comes on, there is enough fuel in the gas tank for the knob to be kept on "main". It is only when the engine seems to choke do I generally turn the knob to "reserve".

Also, you should have waited a while and got yourself the 2009 P220 DTS-i. For almost the same price, you would have got the P220 minus the Fi. The P200's production is being stopped. So, the P220, at this juncture would have made sense.

Anyhow, congratulations for getting yourself the best looking Pulsar to date!

Hey thanks! Wow, a reply from the pulsar god himself! ;-)

I personally hate the extra fairing of the 220, which is why I got the 200 instead. 200 looks way better IMO, and I know this opinion is shared by MANY others including you!

Pulsar God! Naah! I am just another Pulsar owner, instead.

Yes, I know. The P200 is one of the best Pulsars ever to come out from the Bajaj stable.

He he, was only kidding, but I read on this thread that you get like 52 or 54kmpl, and I also saw the pic of ur bikes tyres after 13k kms, which is why I gave u that title!

But seriously, 52+ is FANTASTIC!! I normally just minus 8 or 10km from test results of bikes to get their real world results, but yours is almost on par with test conditions!

And I have absolutely NO idea how I am managing that. The worst I have got till date is 47km/ litre, while the best has ofcourse been 52km/litre, although most of the times, I get between 48 and 50km/litre.

RC 1060 costed me Rs.1790 1 year back. It's not worth putting if u consider only for sound. But, If u do Up-Jetting, then u wont regret!!
