The value to the right of "W" refers to the performance of oil at 100C i think so. The higher the value the better is the ability of the oil to withstand higher temperature abuse.!
So choose the oil as per that.
    that's what i've been thinking...

maybe i'll just use fully synthetic 10w-50 Castrol Power 1 4T... I've read that fully synthetic is much better than mineral based oil and it gives much better engine performance and engine life...

if it has bigger height than standard tires then you're speedo will not be accurate, maybe decrease in reading...

question: is it recommended to use power one racing castrol 10w-40 fully synthetic oil in our pulsar 200? i have a mileage of 1,100+kms... planning to change in 1,500kms. pls. review this oil.
the front tire size is 100/80.
i guess there might be a speedo error. but i dont think the error is hugh.

      To the ongoing queries:
I've upgraded both my front and rear tyres to those of the FZ (MRF), they they seem ok so far, excellent road tyres but shit off road! I got them purely due to lack of choice and availability, considering I'm in Arunachal now!
My speedo kicked the bucket at 13500Kms, a year back, I'm guessing I've crossed the 20k mark. Annoying vibes are setting in at 4000 rpm and above, though the 220's chain/sprockets have made cruising a lot easier. I think my clutch is nearing toast 'cos downshifting is a ***** nowadays.
I was wondering, is it a sane idea to plonk in the 220's venturi carb in the 200?
was thinking of doing the same and putting a k&n(then upjetting shouldnt be a problem rite?)!thought ill ask the mechanic next time i give for service.
btw what are your speedo readings at 4k and 8k rpm after the change to 220 sprockets?
A good mechanic will let u watch without charging u for it!

      • Motul 300v is by far the best imho. give it a try. It's prolly a lil expensive for some people, but it lasts long & the engine response is just great!

^^ you're right- a 220's carb should solve the upjetting problem, but thats still theoretical! has anyone tried it yet- do let us know if u have any updates on that one! Abt the speedo readings-I'm afraid i never really got around to replacing the busted speedo kit, I'll keep u posted when i do! I have however noticed a slight drop in bottom end torque(initial pull is a tad bit lower) but thats been compensated a substantial hike in top-end whack. I'll know for sure when i get my speedo up and running!

When choosing between Zapper and IRC go for Zapper, IRC suck big time on wet surface (At least the ones that come on 220), though zapper is also no good but still better than the stock IRC.
                      My thoughts...

                          Dude...2500 is a hefty amount...
the stock tyre is easily available for 2000rs.

I guess the stock tyre would be easily available. Try at some others stores too

                              • yeh-2500 is a bomb! the stock P200's tyre's are 1700 i think, the front tyre is probably 1500. MRF tyres are rarely close to 2000, let alone 2500!
