thanks for the info buddy, i will decide on the modification soonOriginally posted by A@shIsh View Postok i will post the pics as soon as i can
its a 35W -6000k HID
I cant explain in detail how the modifications were done as my friend did the job for me. I will explain you as much as i can....HID runs on dc so you have to get the dc current from the ignition wire..but then the bike wont start as it requires AC current for the starting So to solve this problem you have to install a switch which can convert the whole system into DC or AC....after its done you have to start the bike on AC then switch the system to DC via the switch then you can easily use the HID.
its a very complicated process.
after everything is done you have to take many precautions for using the HID like less usage of Horn and indicators plus you will have to replace the pilot lamps and the number plate bulb(5w each) with LED's this is done to reduce the load from the battery.
currently i am looking for LED's for the indicators
eagerly waiting for the pics
, take your time though
if you are from bangalore and looking for LED indicators, you can easily get them near JC Road, i.e take left at first signal once you enter JC Road, from there you need to go beyond 3rd cross, few meters once you pass 3rd cross you will find two shops who sell all sorts of stuffs from bulbs to accessories.

yeah they are much simpler but then you cant compare the light of an hid with a normal halogen.regarding HIDs: isn't the nightbreaker or the philips power bulb a more hassle free option then?
no i am from delhi(NCR)..anyways will post the pics soon..give me some timeOriginally posted by cssk View Postthanks for the info buddy, i will decide on the modification soon

I've been riding with K&N RC 1060 on my 200 for a while now, and the bike is still running in it's stock jetting, though i found that acceleration has improved whilst riding in the powerband on the other hand bike suffers on the either end, if i crack open the throttle at 2nd gear say at 2500-3000rpm the bike lurches like it's about to stall without petrol, but this is only momentary after a split second gap, the bike pulls cleanly till 8000rpm and the other grouse is that once the bike crosses the 110-115kmph mark the acceleration afterwards is very very slow and really struggles to make it to 120kmph (which is by far the max. the bike has been able to touch so far with the k&n), so my question "Is K&N really worth it?" though many may argue that only with proper jetting the bike will be able to perform, i still doubt it'll make much of a difference, because once you tune the carb say for it's top-end and jet accordingly the bike will still suffer in it's bottom-end and there is a likely event of the acceleration getting hit too, so is there a way to have a bit of top-end as well as acceleration (i might be ambitious but still)?I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.

yes ,, racing filter needs proper jetting before it performs quite well..
Mine using JFC replacement air filter (cotton gauze like K&N), Main Jet must set 117,5 n pilot Jet 20.
low rev , & hi rev power will increase...
i have my friend dynotest result of P200 with a some modifcation..

@el loco: to fully make use of your performance filter... you have to re-jet and read your plugs to see if you are running rich or lean (based on the jet size you are running)... when you say at a certain rpm your bike feels like it is starving of fuel... well.. it is... plonking on a perforance filter is not a plug and play upgrade! atleast with the RD it isn't... but yeah.. logically it isn't plug and play.. suggest you re-jet and see if you like it better.. am sure you will .... good luck with that
@ A@shish: thats seriously some powerful lights man!! you must be blinding oncoming traffic though in the city.. will be superb on the highway though... thanks for the pics!!

@A@shish
Thanks for the pics yaar,
even with bad camera they just look too good
.
Hope someday you will get good camera and post better pics
They are perfect way to make those four wheel drivers switch to low beam
, who in reality refuse to despite flashing the dipper
