storage queries
hey guys.
i have parked my 200 for about 4 months now. its well covered and i have also disconnected the battery terminals and also drained the fuel.
but i do not have any idea about the oil change. il be returning to it next month and want it to be in good condition. what oil is used for the 200?
please also mention if any oil in the market will increase engine smoothness and performance. thnx
happiness is:finding you have another gear left

hey guys...Am new here
...Need some info...I have P200 which is a year and a month old...Have run 1ly 5400K odd kms coz i study in Pune and drive the bike 1ly when i come back home...My back stop light has gone Ka-poot
...left has 1ly 2 lights and right is normal...i heard we will have to change the entire kit...
Any idea how much it will cost?...
Also am not at all satisfied with my bike's rear break
...I just had the break shoe replaced on the 17th when i gave it for my 1st paid service(Dont ask abt it wasted 2 free services coz i was not here and hadnt run much on my bike)...
Can anything be done???...everytime i go to Probiking i ask them to tight the break :P
...
just need to know the cost for the back light and also abt the brakes
...
Cheers!

Yeah that's about it mostly, but i think you might need to fill up the engine oil totally so as to suspend all moving parts during the times the bike is being kept idle, (the actual level might be higher than 1300ml, though i don't know how much) and make sure you totally drain out the existing oil and top-up fresh oil before you start using the bike again. Semi-synth and Synthetic oils offer better smoothness and mileage (the oil's), Motul and Valvoline are pretty good brands to go for, and most people here use it too (I use Motul)Originally posted by sushcha View Posthey guys.

I have a query that needs a little know-how, i've noticed that my bike's gear-shifts become extremely hard and sticky whenever the bike is stand-still or rolling at low gears after cruising a bit or whenever the bike is out of it's rhythm (I hope you understand what i mean), and this has been the same with whatever engine-oil i use (I've tried Mineral, Semi-Synth and Synth)
Is it the characteristic nature of the gearbox of Pulsars or am i doing something wrong?I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.

Yeah you probably need to change the whole back-light unit, because it's a single electronic circuit, and the LEDS cannot be changed seperately because they are all placed on a PCB and soldered. Should'nt be too expensive, electronics are known to fizzle out when you least expect them to, that's why they don't give warranty. As per the clauses in the manual, but don't let that stop you from asking for a replacement. And the rear brakes are bad in the 200, and they wear out fast because i think you are using them heavily, remember braking works best on our bikes (200's) when you use your front for all the stopping and the rear to only just bring the bike to a smooth stop. In other words the brake bias is split 70%-80% for the front and the remaining 30%-20% for the rear. My bike has run 17,000kms and i've replaced my shoes once at 10,000kmsI'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.

I know atleast 8-10 guys using IRC 130/70, me being one of them. Undoubtedly the best buy I could find. Amazing stability...Originally posted by Prabhakar View PostHI

I'm looking to change to either one of them.I'd rather be riding my motorcycle thinking about God than sitting in church thinking about my motorcycle.
Ride often, ride well, have fun.
