Damn it!!Originally posted by CJ View PostActually there is no PBK here....the nearest service center is 180kms away in Chennai!! and btw Castrol Power1 is not right for our bike ???
No, Castrol Power 1 is NOT the right oil for the P-200. Castrol does however manufacture the "Castrol Active Xtra" which is a 20W50 rated engine oil - the perfect one for the P-200.

right now we aren't comparing the mineral oil or semi synthetic one...firstly we are looking at the grade factor. castrol power is is 20w40. You need a 20w50/15w50 for p200.Originally posted by CJ View PostActually i wanted a Semi-Synth Oil for P200.... Mineral oil can easily do around 1000-1500kms. Semi syn can do 3500-4000kms(normal riding conditions)
My suggestion: whenever you go to chennai get yourself motul semi synthetic 5100 15w50 around 2-3 cans...
Till then find castrol activ 20w50 or MAK 20w50 or valvoline 4t premium 20w50 or shell 20w50(all these are mineral oils)its all about CC...

nice info thnxOriginally posted by T-ners View Postlet me help to explain a little about projector.
our p200 original lamp is a reflector lamp, using reflection from the reflector to lights the road.
projector lights the road through lenses.
look at the pic, p200 reflector is a DOT typical.
resulting a higher glare levels for oncoming drivers.
when u using projector, the light typical are ECE, harmonized, and JDM.
we can choose harmonized typical for motorcycle(p220).
from this light typical, we can see that there's no glare at ECE and JDM.
harmonized with a little glare.
that sharp cut off make less glare to incoming light.
for the 7 times brighter statement.
i dont agree.
it looks brighter coz there are no glare.
all lights shine the road.
Here are the main benefits of HID kits over Halogen style bulbs (with xenon or without)
- HID's will produce 3 to 4 times the relative brightness than Halogen.
- HID's operate at a lower wattage, generate less heat and use less electricity
- HID's natively operate at around the natural colour of light to start with (Around 4100k) and therefore are whiter without any tinting than Halogen (which are around 2300k+ - although note that xenon halogen bulbs have a blue tint to make them appear whiter but that tint actually reduces the light output a little and is no where near HID).
- HID has hi flux which means a much deeper and evenly spread beam
- With the high output you will still see your lights on the road in wet weather! Unlike Halogen based bulbs (especially xenon based bulbs) which tend to disappear when it rains!
- HID will operate up to six times longer than Halogen equivalents
- As they say once you've had HID you won't go back!
sorry for my bad englishLast edited by AashishS; 01-19-2009, 09:56 PM.sigpic

Hi Amigoes !
I'va 4200 run P-200 .
I shifted to Motul 300v Fully Synthetic Oil after crossing 3450km on Odo.
I'm getting Milage in city 39-41kmpl.( After the 1st Service at 550km run. )
My Tyre Pressure - Front : 27psi
Rear : 35psi. ( From the very beginning ).
After Running - in Period( i.e 2000 k.m )
while I try to Cross 100+ speed mark my Bike get Chocked every time I Low the rev from higher. Then I've to Stop the bike & press Self after 10-15 secs.....it starts normally & Again if I try 100+ It does the same.
But If I run till 95+ It Runs fine ..... no headache.
