MOTUL 300V is fully syth 15W50 grade and suits the 200 very much. Many of our members have used it. I think it has got to do more with the carb tuning.Originally posted by hanx13 View Postthe grade of your motul oil doesn't suite your engine...

Issues with the Front Disk Brake
Hello Guys,
Off late I'm facing an issue with the front disk brake of my P200. What happens is, if I'm slowing the bike down, say from 75kmph, I press the clutch, apply the rear-breaks and then shift to the front brake. But as I'm applying the front brake, I recieve vibrations from the front brake, it's not smooth.
I've had the brake checked in PBK service centers here in Gurgaon, they say they have fixed the issue, but after a couple of rides, the issue appears back!!
Any idea, what might be going wrong??

It might be a problem with tyres. How many kms have your P200 done?Originally posted by csajal View PostHello Guys,

I'd rather be riding my motorcycle thinking about God than sitting in church thinking about my motorcycle.
Ride often, ride well, have fun.

Hi BORN2LEAD!!Originally posted by born2lead View PostIt might be a problem with tyres. How many kms have your P200 done?
Thanks a lot for replying bro!!
The bike has done arround 18K on the odo!! A couple of service back I had the front brake shoe changed as it got worn off..... and the problem started after that....
I also got the handle alignment checked or if the handle bar was loose... but that was also not the case.

Pulsar 200 upgrade
Hey guys...i was wondering whether i could fit the footrests of the r15 onto the 200 without any alteration to the subframe....also would it be available in yamaha spares??
also wanted to fit a mono unit onto the 200...should i go for the unicorn bit or r15??happiness is:finding you have another gear left

Is there anyway we can stop the tail from wiggling everytime we shift down from the top gear down to the 4th or 3rd? This has always been an issue with my 200 be it accelerating or decelerating the tail feels very unstable, it spins under loose traction even with the slightest of throttle inputs and locks up no matter how progressive i am with the downshifts, therefore every time i flick down a gear to enter a corner or to overtake someone, the tail steps out and does a wiggle. This has gone from an annoyance to a downright scare in traffic conditions, the tail nearly went into a slide mid-corner once but i was lucky enough to feed it some throttle and prevent it from pasting me onto a wall!I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.

^^^ it's the same with my 200 too.. the rear keep on loosing traction lately, is it because i've completed around 24k kms(on the odo) with the stocks??Those people who tell you not to take chances
They are all missing on what life is about
You only live once so take hold of the chance
Don't end up like others the same song and dance

At first i too thought it had something to do with the tyres too, but then i realised that it's not always the tyres which are at fault, i mean if you've noticed the bike goes fatastically into a corner, but by the time you are about to hit the exit you feel as thought you are being pulled sideways from the rear, therefore everytime i corner i have this funny posture where i'm nearly sitting on the tank to put more weight onto the front to make the bike steer through a corner
EDIT: Plus the bike does'nt respond negatively when i flick it left and right negociating (<<is this the right spelling??) through traffic, believe me i've tried itLast edited by EL LOCO DIABLO; 01-20-2009, 11:23 PM.I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.

Yes we had fitted pulsar's foot rests on r15's (only the rear ones) it was a direct fit just had to get a new nut & bolt for itOriginally posted by Aryan View PostOriginally Posted by sushcha

If not try blipping(raising) the throttle next time during down shifts, 2 blips should do it.

some day i rode my bike out of the town.
When a corner appeared i was ready to attack it @ > 100kmh
but it went so understeer, even i tried to knee-down my bike.
If i could'nt maintain my throttle, perhaps i would fell off to the asphalt...
i think P200 has front-midship weight distribution
Maybe, lowering rear suspension will have a great effect.
