  • ^^But any issue with the frame or fork according to the PBK guys are better replaced than repaired, but the thing is who has the upper hand PBK or Allianz when it comes to taking these decisions? after all Allianz guys are purely a company dealing financial needs
I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.

The PBK has the upper hand deciding what needs to be changed and what not.... but the surveyor who comes from the insurance company to click photos of the bike also has some saying.... and then rest of it depends on the company claim settling team to assess the photos and conclude the decisions.

      • @EL LOCO DIABLO:

Dude, chill... It's not all that formal and complicated as it seems. Talk to Mr.Lakshman, ask him if the damages are satisfactory enough to convince the surveyor. Tell him you have to get everything changed under insurance. The previous surveyor was transferred, so I'm not sure about the rapport between Lakshman and the new one asssigned... Talk to mr.lakshman, clarify everything and go ahead.

It also makes sense to do a cashless claim since anyway the parts for your bike are gonna take generations to be delivered from Pune ( experience speaks )

Surpisingly though, both PBK and the Allianz Bajaj are on your side and try to get the maximum amount possible from Insurance..

        • I can't tell you how much that puts me at ease, well i've insisited that they don't do any patch work on the structure and replace the needed straightaway, cause my take is that anyway i've decided to get the bike done up under insurance, so why hold back now? And this is also what Mr. Lakshmanan said too, but as of now i'm waiting for the estimate on the repairs and the claim amount quoted on the same

Like I said, bro, make sure that you're behind them, coz they don't get work done very easily at PBK.

              • Can someone shed light on the Rubber thing which is under the seat of the driver and by removing it gives a great sound which is somewhat related to K&N Exhaust note....

Are there any disadvantages by removing it ??
will it affect fuel efficiency of my bike ??

The two ribbed rubber bushes underneath your seat is put there to stop vibes or as you say "related to K&N Exhaust note" if that's what you're talking about, and yes removing them will make jelly out of your a$$ on long rides, please be sensible, these things have been put there for a definite reason, experimenting is good but you need to know where to meddle with things first (this out of my own experience), no offence meant

EDIT: @threat2myself: What sort of vibration are we talking about? Is it fine and minute which is irritating but nothing to worry about or is it rough and heavy in such a way that you might lose control of the bike?

Sorry but I got the wierd feeling when I first read this, that you are talking about the air box? Because, that's the only thing in your post I see relevant to exhaust note. As for the rubber mounting at the bottom of the seat, I don't think it has anything to do with exhaust note or fuel-efficiency.

yeah...the fine and irritating vibrations on the handle....my handz feel soo weird after a loong drive....so its normal huh!!??

                            howzz HID's on p200??
anyonne has them on?? im planning to get one....any suggestionz??

                            Comment

                            • ^^Yeah that's normal, nothing to worry about you probably might to get used to it after a while, and vibes will have the worst effect on your hands if you grip the bars tight (you feel as though your hand is vibrating eventhough you're not on the bike!), i would suggest you get a pair of gloves as they might dampen the vibes a bit

EDIT: furioussphinx a member here has HID on his P200, you can ask him about it's performance, i think you might have to beef up your electrical cables to withstand increase in power and upgrade to a bigger battery, probably have to change the electricals to a full-on DC instead of the AC/DC we have default. And you can't go for a HID for the hi-beam as it's not approved by the Govt. so you would have to settle for a hybrid setup (normal for hi-beam and HID for lo), and HID-beams can get nasty hot, so you have to take care not to burn your reflectors out too. IMO i think it is better to go for a normal halogen lamp, rather than going through all this fuss of HID'ing your lamps, because if the mods aren't properly done it could end up screwing your whole electrical system, and you can't afford that esp. when P200's don't have a alternative way to start (other than jump-starting)

                              • ^^ yup those reasons alone kept me from switching to the HID setup.

Anyone know of the Osram Nightbreaker in mumbai please?
