Avenger have disc brakes@ front wheel. So if you want to check it see the area where the disc is in contact with stationary assembly mounted on forks (caliper) you can see the disk pads clearly judge it by their thickness new has approximately 5-7mm thickness

Yes checked that. It looks new. I should have check with the older one before going ahead with the change.

Can this be doen by just loosening the handlebar bolts and rotating the handle?

              Hi guys,

Needed a little help here, my friends owns a 2010 avy200. He yesterday had an accident when he applied the front brakes while on a slight curve on the road. The wheel locked and bike hit the divider. He was thrown on the other side, luckily there was no vehicle approaching him from either sides. He was saved because of his helmet. But the bike took a bad hit. now my query is about the cost of parts that have been damaged, namely-
              *front fork
*the brake caliper setup, the disk is intact and is not bent.
              *RH foot peg
              *leg guard
              *silencer cover/guard.
              *front mud guard

I'll be obliged by your help. Also how much can be retrieved through insurance. Bike was insured through united India in Bangalore and is being used in Rajasthan (he has the NOC and other necessary documents) . Thanks a lot. forgive if i have erred.

              Regards

However they don't have the gear lever. Also my speedometer and odo stopped working after 26km, which will be rectified but they don't have part required. He suggested to bring back the bike after 5 days. I went after 6 days and still they don't have parts required.

Has anyone else been through the same problem ?

Which is the best bajaj service center in Pune ? (Had bad experience with GEMS satara road)

Is there a list of parts covered in warranty ?

                        Hello Brother,
send a complaint to Bajaj Customer care , a detailed one they will give you a complaint number and they will inform the service center , service center guys will call you..after the service make sure that bike is ok and then only agree to close the complaint by service center because Bajaj will give them a dead line of only 1-2 days.no engine part change is chargable during the warrenty period. i recommend you to change the engine oil to a Motul 5100 or 300v.
                        cheers..

Change the rear Shocks to nitrous ones, it would slightly increase height, and add some more foam on the seat. Someone had modified his avenger, as shown in the pic below. The comfort level indeed had improved, as avenger has pretty bad rear shocks, upgrading them to Nitrous ones, indeed helps.

Where do you get these nitrous ones? Is there another bike whose shocks will be a direct fit to Avy?

Actually, i had read about this somewhere long back (i don't remember where) and had saved those pictures, thought it would help if i bought an avenger someday, well i didn't.

Anyways regarding your query, shock absorbers from the company "Endurance". The medium/small size would fit, though some adjustments might be required to put them in slot (its not really a direct fit).
