hi
i dont use Handle bar cushion as i use Pro Biker Hand gloves for my ride, there is no vibrations in handle bar either.
There are no quality handle grips in market. I can imagine of custom grips by wrapping single wide leather strip on stock rubber grip and glue it. A leather workshop or shoe repairer has that leather. Leather grip will give classic and quality look for handlebar, what say?

Are you sure that it should be 1.2 litres? I see 1 litres recommended in the manual.Originally posted by Golden Cat View Posthi,
The gap is specific to spark plug model, 0.7-0.8 mm gap is specific for Champion spark plugs. So no issue, but as i said before, its threaded part length must be same.
Fake spark plugs is a reason I dont go for expensive stuff which can be fake some times.
Buy genuine Be Genuine.

Hi,
I have this issue right from first day of my purchase.
I ignored it as its not that serious problem. Engine is new and thermal balance will require some running period and oil seal leakage can happen due to temp difference.
I will not take this issue seriously till the amount of oil leakage is under limits. If the oil leakage is more you have to replace oil seal by opening head cover only.
Its a small job but beware of tightening the that engine studs.!!! Never let a kid mechanic touch it because those kids tight those studs very heavily and damage internal threads. It require very delicate but enough tightening which only experienced mechanic knows.
Thats why I am ignoring my oil leakage problem for time.

Do not use synthetic oils when engine is new. Use mineral oil and it should be 1.2 liters of 20w50.
Other grade oil can damage new engine

Re: Bajaj Avenger - All versions
Update: I have changed the oil to Castrol Power1 20w50 after 5k kms yesterday. Now bike rides buttery smooth and I'm really enjoying the ride more now. Has anyone else has used this oil?. Really, Bajaj oil is not good for this bike.

1.Lots of FAKES in market
2.That Buttery smooth ride won't last much
I used Castrol and later changed to Motul 3100 and 5100 versions

I have adjusted my bike to two turns anti clockwise from what it was at stock.
I never checked fuel efficiency but I think it's around 38-40kmpl.
Are you sure two turns from stock setting?
Stock setting is already two turns anti clock, so your setting is 4 turns anti clock?
Did you check rpm variation while adjusting?
I will adjust my settings and will post. Currently my carb is 2.5 turns anti clock from zero.
