Currently, ODO reads at 1030kms and have moved over to Motul 5100 4T Semi Synthetic oil from the stock oil ( Bajaj oil, I think) that was put in by ASC after 1st Service.
I will report the difference in performance and smoothness after 50kms,which I think is a decent number to do the mixing.

          Hi All,

I am soon going to purchase Avenger 150cc probably by the end of this month. Just wanted to assurance/suggestions from the Avengers Brotherhood on the same.

Currently I own a Honda Shine, which is 4 years old and I have clocked already 65,000kms. I drive everyday a total of 70kms in Bangalore and this includes the moderately busy to heavy traffic zones in the city. I feel the Avenger will help me with my spine for the amount of driving I do, and in particular 150cc will also help me in the mileage department. Is there any reason I shouldn't go for the 150cc and get the 220cc?

I am planning to get the Midnight Blue edition, I did like the Matt Black edition of the 220cc but unfortunately that color combination isn't available in the 150cc Would have loved to have that color though.

Let me know your thoughts on this.

            hi
Even I purchased Avenger for my daily travelling to office which is 35 kms away, and I travel in heavy traffic and highway.
Yes avenger is good for relaxed driving and comfort.
150cc is good for mileage, comfort and looks. 220cc is good for more highway driving and pickup.
For you 150cc will be best choice as 70kms daily drive will be expensive on 220cc engine.
I went to purchase 150cc but returned with Avenger Gold!

Go for the Avy 150 without even giving a second thought.
Reasons not to consider the 220 (just for you)
              1. You are habitual to a bike which gives good mileage and a sudden change to that much drop in term of mileage will make you hate your bike after some time.
              2. Both the 150 and 220 are the same except the fact that the 150 is more refined engine than the 220 if touring is not the reason you are buying a bike.
Hence, I think the 150 is better for you as per your need.
Also keep in mind that if you buy the avenger, the initial days might give you some pain in your back or even in your shoulder. But with some time it will vanish and you will have a perfect comfortable city commuter.

                SPARKS FOR AVENGER 220

Can anyone please tell about good spark plugs for AVENGER 220 ?
Twin head sparks(seen in TVS Apache rtr) is good for AVENGER ?
Or should I stick with old single spark plug ?
My iridium NGK Spark plug has worn out within 30k so no plans for iridium anymore.
                Please reply soon

Do not alter stock spark plugs unnecessarily.
If you want to use other spark plugs, atleast its threaded part length must be same as original spark plug. Because extra length can tough piston head and short length can produce poor burning of fuel.

30k is too much for a spark plug. U will not get better than ngk iridium plugs. Ngk G power is also good

Thanks a lot for the suggestions. I may hate myself for choosing the 220cc and thus getting low mileage eventually, but Ill never hate the bike in itself. This bike is my long time dream and love. Couldn't buy it earlier due to finance conditions and also the fact that my previous bike was yet to be fully utilized for its worth. After clocking 65k kms, I feel I have utilized the machine enough

I will be doing a test drive and booking over this weekend. Any specific pointers to look out? And what all accessories should I go for from the showroom perse?

I got a quote of 92k for the bike (150cc) and around 1600/- for accessories. What are the accessories needed for this machine? I 'm thinking of getting the accessories outside the showroom. Any suggestions on this?

Also is there anyway, anyway (I know its not possible still asking) I can get the Matt red color that comes with 220cc version for the 150cc version? I am so much in love with that color.

Colors are exclusive to their cc's my friend. You can go for cosmic red of the 150 which looks quite rare.
And for the accessories, just go with the mandatory ones which bajaj is providing. You can install a windshield after some time if you like it. And you also have to fit an after market saree guard footrest which doesn't comes with a bike.
And good luck for your purchase buddy.

These accessories should I get it from the showroom or outside the showroom is a good option? Especially I am thinking of getting the pillion rest like in the cruise. It would be comfortable for the pillion to sit if its there right? Especially ladies if they are sitting single side it will be fine is it with the pillion rest?

Headlight and tail grills I have seen a few of them in Amazon, thinking of getting them and installing them myself.
