amitmalve Great mod amit..!! Looking great! Just couldn't help thinking that this colour scheme will look super cool on the silver dazzler!

Do let us know the details (like shailesh asked) about cost, adjustment that had to be made etc. For example did you have to fabricate a clamp for the rear brake fluid reservoir?

Also I upgraded to a 120/80-17 tyre - the super cool looking MRF Zapper Vyde

This what that looks like ->

Absolutely no modifications had to be made, there was no problem in fitting the tyre back either. There are no clearance issues anywhere either.

Ride height has increased slightly but noticeably. And the increased circumference has added about 2kmph to the speed of the bike for a given rpm. 5th gear @ 3000 rpms has increased from 40 kmph to 42kmph. 5th gear @ 4000 rpms has increased from 53 kmph to 55 kmph.

Also, if there is any increase in weight then I have as yet not noticed it, no sluggishness in acceleration due to weight. All in all a happy upgrade.

p.s. My stock tyre was shot after 23000 kms. It had a total of 5 punctures with 1 being plugged, 2 being plugged by nail and 2 small but open punctures. I was running this puncture combo for the last 3000 kms. Pressure would stabilize at 16 psi and would not decrease further so I just ran with it. Needless to say the handling has vastly improved over what I was riding for the last 3000 kms :P

Very soon I will post all the details of this mod. Till then, let me tell you all that it is not a very complicated installation process nor does it requires any major modifications. Only some adjustments are required & that too only on RHS (brake pedal & silencer side). Otherwise LHS side (gear shifter side) is almost a plug & play. Now I am very happy with this riding position.(I have already installed hh hunks handlebar which is slightly shorter than the stock one.) No, there was no need to fabricate any kinda clamp for rear brake fluid reservoir. It is at its stock position only. I have also planned to get those silver brackets painted in black.(may be a DIY like you did on your bike's silencer panels)

Did you use the head lamp without starting the bike for long period of time recently? Starting issues are different, but yours happened while riding.

Did it restart later? Since the console went blank, it can't be air lock or fueling issue.

If otherwise your battery has enough juice (no starting troubles) then this may be something as simple as an issue of connection.

Most probably the connector of your console which lives inside the front headlight assembly might have come loose due to a bump. Simply reconnecting it firmly will solve your problem if it reoccurs.

This had happened to me once when I was standing at a signal. But like you did, I turned off and turned on the ignition and everything was back to normal and that problem has never repeated itself ever again.
amitmalve awesome! waiting for the details. A matt black look will go killer with the armor gold that our dazzler sport! If you are going the DIY route then ping me for any query!

Your bike is running rich. The reason for this is that when your bike had more carbon your bikes compression ratio was more as a result when the bike was tuned with carbon it was set with the increased compression. After removing the carbon the compression ratio changed and thus the mixture which was good before is now rich. So re=tune the carburettor and everything will be all right.

Just changed my engine oil to Motul 7100 10w40 Fully Synthetic. Per the dealer this should last 3.5k-4k kms. the engine have no major noticeable improvements in vibrations or smoothness.

Hi All,

I was unable to source below parts from honda in my local area.(as expected)
1. Console case (cost unknown)
2. Front fairing ( actually headlight casing)(cost unknown)
3. front Mudguard (confirmed Rs 780)

The Honda parts guy took 30mins to scan records and confirm that the part was unavailable(that I could have told him also ) and costs Rs780
For other two he straightforwardly said NO.

Anyhow I took bike to a local shop near my residence and got things fixed(partially in absence of replacement parts)
It took INR 1230 (funny figure) for straightening front forks, new cone set and miscellaneous work.

There were even lower quotes present for repair(as low as Rs350 for only forks straightening) but I preferred this guy as he works near my residence and helps me with normal adjustments mostly for no cost and I can go to him any time I want.

took a quite long test ride and every thing worked perfectly (except vibrations and rattling due to damaged parts)
