^ Since I am still running on my stock sprocketing I cannot directly give you first hand experience but if you go for shorter gearing, you will get similar increase in acceleration as you get from a joel'd bike, what you will loose out on is top end. The problem is that with shorter gearing, you can forget about touring since even for touching 80kmph you will have to stress the engine a lot (much more than 6000rpms as in stock). Besides you will loose out on mileage (which btw you do with the big bore as well as I am experiencing now
)

I have been the owner of my Dazzy from about 5 months. Made about 3k+ km and did two services.
I noticed a mileage of 965km for 1200 rs of petrol which is 1.25rs/-per km and 59KMPL in city . I drive through area where there is medium traffic.
Never crossed 50KMph during above mentioned 965km and always tried to stay close to 50kmph mark.
Do I have to do anything extra for getting better mileage? What is the ideal speed to get the max mileage?
BTW, Idle rmp 1k.hits 50kmph at 3.5 to 4k rpm.

Sir! 59 kmpl is an amazing FE figure.. I'm honestly surprised you want more!Originally posted by thenvk View PostI have been the owner of my Dazzy from about 5 months. Made about 3k+ km and did two services.

Theoretically, max mileage figures can be achieved on the max gearing at around 4000-4200 rpm. Many companies claim their "advertised" FE numbers using this method, but of course, with no rider onboard..
I really doubt whether you can get any better FE. It might even drop after a couple more services.

Is it ok to idle the bike for week each time?
I would suggest you to just start the bike every 2 days. and let the engine run for 3-5 minutes..

A friend of mine has installed it. The cone kind of model (RC1060), directly to inlet of carb.Originally posted by vajra_bng View PostHey XBHPians,
Has any body installed K&N filter for Dazzler?
Please share you experience on the performance and FE post K&N and pros and cons of it.
Thanks Guys
He was getting 46kmpl before install, 48 kmpl after K&N.
The only pro he claims is the "sound", which some people like and others hate. Since he hasn't upjetted, the con is sluggish performance at lower RPMs.
I've found many posts here that don't recommend K&N without upjetting. Maybe someone who has upjetted and K&N'd here can post their experience.

Hi Frnds,
I gave my dazz for service in kun at chennai. After service i noticed a drastic decrease in mileage. my dazz use to give 52 kmpl on avg minimum and now after service its only 38 kmpl. i tried different petrol bunks and i use to maintain low speed 40-50 only since i ride it mostly in city.
Also i noticed the idle is kept at 1000 rpm before it was clost to 1.5k. Is there any direct relation between idle and mileage? And moreover, my bike wont start in the mornings unless i trigger the choke on...
Please help with suggestions
