    • anyone here has deluxe version of the bike??
my friend is going to take this bike in couple of weeks..and reallly loves the dual tone colour(so do i)
but is worried about whether it will be like that even after 2 years or so...anyone owning the bike or having an experience with the deluxe version please help...
also do let me know if it needs any extra maintainence than standard versions and if so how much it would cost...thanks..

nothing as such, only worry will be availability of spares in case of a replacement if needed.

          • can i install in the side floating cowls of cb dazzler on cbz xtreme....

            Comment

            • ^ I dont think so, because underneath the front tank extensions are 2 brackets welded to the tank, the plastic extensions are bolted onto these brackets. Why do I say brackets? because there is an extending plastic bit which has to slide inside the bits welded on the tank. On the lower side, there is a bar welded on the central frame to which the extension are screwed.

You will have to do these on your extreme in an identical manner and then paint them to match you bike. And even after doing all that, it'll simply break the lines of xtreme and the final product might end up looking bad! Since welding to tank is required, you might ruin it permanently.

              My opinion: Drop the idea!

              • Has anyone done sprocketing mod on their dazzler?

Specifically I want to put in a 16T front sprocket instead of the stock 15T to improve top end. What are the specs of the dazzler stock set? I know it is 15/42T but i dont know the pitch and also dont understand what pitch is.

I remember amit malve asking about the same on the "world of sprockets" thread. Dude did you go ahead and get this one done?

Anyone else who can help me out here??

By the way I got my dazzler joeled some time back . Its 180cc now and is much much more torquey! Still running in and yet to upjet which joel said to do after running in is finished. Anyway, sprocketing will simply take my bike to a different league altogether.

So any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks already!

                      Hello plasmabhai,

Sounds very interesting what u have done with the bike. Where did u get it done in bangalore? Could u provide more info on it? I am looking for something similar. Have completed 26k Kms on my dazzler.
                      Thank you.

No....I haven't done this mod yet. By going for a 16T front sprocket a stock dazzler will lose a lot at low ends especially with a pillion. Anyways, after some 5-6K kms I may need to change my chain-sprocket set(current odo reading 25K+) At that time I may try this 16T front sprocket.

But you should definitely go for this. Your's being a joelled dazzler, it has that extra torque which is required by a 16T front sprocket. You will also gain a lot at the top end with that extra power & taller gearing.
Please do update on this joelled dazz. Btw. did you get his FFE?

                        • @vinumathew

I got it done at Joel's workshop in Bangalore. Just check out his website :.Welcome To Race Concepts.: for some general information. Last I checked he had not updated the website for a lot of mods he is currently offering for the Honda Engine platform or the FZ Fazer platform etc. I would say email him your queries. He generally gets back quite promptly. The workshop is near Banaswadi (ORR), you can look up exact location on google maps.

@amit That is the thing. With the extra torque at low end, I think a 16T will be just about justified! plus the extra top end is what i really want! Guess I will try and snoop around a little bit more for this 16T. Thanks a ton anyway!

I did not get his FFE for 3 reasons: 1) out of money by the time the big bore and head work got done. Btw FFE is very very affordable 2) FFE were not in stock for dazzler, Joel makes them as per order since for Honda/Hero bikes the demand is still not much. For R15 & P220 you can literally go to his workshop and buy the FFEs off the shelf, very high demand for those! (partly because they are cheap!) & 3) most of my riding is inside a university campus and even with the DB killer eyebrows would be raised! :| and unfortunately with the DB killer on the torque gains are really next to nil.

Will post a full review once up-jetting is done.

Thanks a lot. Can you tel me how much did the bigbore kit cost you? I might want to go for it too.. . Finally some one who knows about honda bikes, because I visited a lot of places and none of them had the expertise to deal with dazzler. Many of them were pretty surprised a bike like this exists. Even at JC road ppl did not know much about the bike. I majorly want to change the rear shocks to the one like Hero impulse. Hope Joel will come through.. .

Many people don't recognize Dazzler because they think its Twister due to similarities in outlook.

Congrats on getting your bike "Joel'd". I have not tried his products but heard a great deal about them. I inquired about the kit for my Dazzler and he was very responsive with the queries. Planning to get the 180CC upgrade soon!

But before that, is there a way to increase low end torque by just playing around with sprockets and gear ratios? Or will it be greatly insignificant when compared to something like bore upgrade?
