But couple of times I have recharged but within days the trouble starts. If the bike is parked for a day or two it gets difficult to start after that and I have to push with gear on and start it (like the good old Bajaj M80 style). yesterday it was just parked for 10 hours during the day and I could not get it started in the night. It is really frustrating. I don't think that battery alone is the issue and the mechanics in the service center are not really helping. anyone facing such issue? any solutions?
is it possible to add a kicker to the setup?

How about trying a new battery? thats cheaper than adding a kickstart

Most probably it could be drained out battery or a realy problem. You can change the relay for just 125 rupees.

And, please take the following precautions while starting the bike.
        • If the the bike doesn't start in one or two clicks, stop clicking further. Turn the key off for 4-5 seconds and turn on again and try. Continuous use of electric start causes fast battery drain.
        • When you start the bike, open the throttle a little and press start button and once the bike starts don't leave the bike idle as the bike may stop if the engine is cold.
        • If the tuning is not optimum, and when the engine is cold, even though the bike starts, engine can't build revolutions and the bike stops. Many people think it is starting problem and they try to start repeatedly which results in draining of battery. When the engine is cold, use choke and start the bike and leave it for 10 secs.

When the engine is cold I generally start the bike with slight throttle open and rev the bike a little so that it won't stop. Also, when the bike is idle overnight, I use choke in the morning to start it.

I am sure if anybody takes the above precautions, there will not be any starting problem.

          • Can I upgrade the battery from 4Ah to 7 or 8Ah to solve the problem of cold start? Will the larger battery have any issues?

Cold starts are not related to battery. Its related to carburetor tuning, mixture of air and fuel. As the amount of air and fuel mixture is mechanical and fixed, when the engine is cold you need to pull the choke to pump in more fuel so that bike starts. Once the engine warms up a bit, it doesn't need any choke. The purpose of choke is for cold starts only. All carburetor bikes have choke. With Fuel-Injected bikes, there is no issue of cold starts.

              • I think it definitely is a battery problem. I had this exact same problem where in the bike would not start and I had to push start. Repeated recharging of the battery still did not work. Finally had to shout at the manager and get a new battery for free under warranty.

It can be a relay problem as well however that is one of the first things SC people check and if there is a problem there they promptly change the relay for free under warranty. My advice is get a free battery under warranty. (I hope you are still under warranty period??)

                • A silly question: my friend asked me to get lower the RPM by a mechanic, as it will increase the initial pickup.
                  1) Will this harm the bike?
                  2) Will the mileage be affected?

What do you mean by lowering the RPM?? If you feel your bike is doing normal, don't do such things. You end up messing up with the tuning. Dazzler is a 150cc bike and don't expect to have more performance than a 150cc engine.

Your friend doesnt know what he is saying. In normal conditions the recommended idle RPM for dazzler is 1.4k... But i managed to lower it down to 1.3k to 1.2k to increase my mileage.. A BIT..

changing the RPM wont do any good on your bike, it will stress the engine more during Idle..

                      • A query

Hello guys, got my dazzler a month back.
Had a small query regarding fuel indicator. When the fuel indicator drops to 1 bar we feel a jerk or hiccup and that's when we turn on the reserve knob right?
After turning on the reserve knob, the fuel indicator remains at 1 bar and after some riding it starts blinking red.
So my question is what does the red blinking indicate? That the fuel in reserve is being used or the fuel is about to get over?

                        • Help me Delhi Dazzlers

                          Hey guys!
I'm in a bit of a fix here. I'm about to my buy my first bike and the budget is 70-80 grand so i believe Dazzler falls in this price bracket.

I just wanted to know about the Honda dealership experience(in Delhi) because i've heard some really really scary stories about Honda dealers and bike quality but i would like to confirm it from existing owners, so please delhi owners, give your inputs [dealership experience, service cost and troubles (if any), build quality(or any bike part malfunctioning abnormally)].

                          Will appreciate your help!
                          Thanks!

Don't worry about the blinking red. After the bike hits reserve, there will be approximately 1.9L fuel left in the tank. The bike runs for approximately 60-70 kms after the reserve.
