    • My bike has completed 25k kms. Engine has become very rough nowadays and the only time it feels smooth is during the morning runs.
Is the new engine oil 10W30 and chennai weather(40C) combination reason for the harshness in the engine?
Will changing the engine oil to 15W40 help?
Any recommended oil? I am planning to use Elf moto gold or shell.

It could be due to the 10w30 oil. Try 20w40 oil and see if you get any improvement. Elf Moto Gold and Shell both are good oils. Go ahead and give a try. Then, tell us your experience.

        • I've recently installed Minda Pulsar Dual Horns on my Dazzler. The garage guy told me that there is no need of a relay and no issue would arise because these horns are not power hungry. He also said that the Pulsars have the same dual horns, without any relay. I've being using this since the last 10 days now without any issues.

I'm a bit worried as I'm reading that for dual horns, a horn relay is a must. Please advise whether there is really a need of horn relay.

Thanks Ravi. Will try to change the engine oil asap and post my experience.

Anbody has changed Dazzler's tyres? How many kms will the OEM tyres last?

Mine has some wobbling problems.i.e whenever i come down the ramp from my office parking lot with clutch depressed.I can feel some sort of vibration.
It seems like a chain vibration but mechanic says its nothing to do with the chain as its new.And also whenever i make a U-turn,there is a slight wobble.

Service centre guys says it might be due to tyre problem as there is uneven wear on one side.
So should i change the tyres? if yes, which one will be good?
            Ceat sports,MRF wyde?

            • My bike's brake pads are worn and there are none in stock at the dealership. Asked my local mechanic for the same and he said he has them. But I couldn't quite confirm they are original parts. Any idea what brand the original brake pads are?

              Edit:

Ok I managed to get hold of replacement disk pads from another dealership. They are also made by Nissin.

We haven't changed the rear tyre yet. It would come for around 5-7k more I guess (23000 on my bike's odo). If I keep my Dazzler, I would definitely go for R15s front and rear; they offer excellent grip. R15 tyre is 100/80, whereas Dazzler's is 110/80. I don't mind one downsize for greater grip.

There are not much alternatives apart from MRF. There is Pirelli SD, but its too costly and wears out super quick (max 17-20k). For those who do off-roading, the new CEAT tyre on Impulse is a great option, but I don't know its available in the market yet.

Tyre wobbling can be due to uneven tyre wear. First change the tyre and see, if the problem still there, you need to look elsewhere.

And what about your handlebar? Did you try Gladiator's? Regarding the suspension being hard, yes I agree its on harder side, but I didn't bother me much, and in fact I found it comfortable on broken patches at speeds. How much air you are filling at the rear and front? The suspension being on a bit stiffer side, any over inflation than required leads to more harder suspension. At rear fill only 30 if you are riding alone, and with doubles 34. At front 25 constant with or without pillion. In general, everyone fills 40 at the rear, but its not good for Dazzler.

                • Of late, I have been noticing some noise from engine when I disengage the clutch. Today gave my bike for service and they told me there is problem with clutch bearing and said they would change it under warranty. The icing on the cake, spare not available. They promised me to source the bearing by tomorrow from other dealers. Otherwise, I will have to use bearing from SKF.

The rear brake pads are still going strong even after 23k kms. Guess they would come for 6-7k more at least.

Saw your break pads in Facebook. It looks like untouched. Mine is just half of it(24.5K odo), it won't go beyond 3K, Funny thing is that you won't get Dazzler rear break pads anywhere in the world

Who said? I have a pair in my shelf.

I keep essential spares in stock when available. You never know, when needed they may not be available at ASC. I have front and rear disc pads, clutch and accelerator cables, and air filter in stock. Chain and sprocket too.

P.S.: One sad thing, Dazzler will leave me soon. Its making way for my old Karizma. Its a beautiful bike and great handler. I love the low stance and the mono suspension. Had been my companion for many long tours and it always excelled and never disappointed me. Also, love its low maintenance costs. I am sure gonna miss you baby.

We are not sure how much those pulsar horns take power. If you don't get any problem, go ahead and use it. If at all you get a problem, its only with quick battery drain up.

Not the case here in Kerala, I've been chasing both dealers here for a month for Chain and sprocket. They don't have any parts in stock - Air filter, Spark plug, Rear disc pads anything!

One question - haven't you changed the front disc pads ever? I had to change it at 12K due to completely worn off pads, but the present one is doing good

Its really sad that things haven't improved even of two years of bike launch. I suggest you write a mail to Honda.

Font disc pads I changed at 17k. I use front brake more and rear brake conservatively. I use intermittent braking for more pad life and effective braking.
