Honda Unicorn Dazzler

Hi everyone, Congratulations to the owners of the Honda CB 150
I own a Honda Invicta 150 (bad name
) with 1,100 kms and has behaved very well except the consumption of fuel.
In my Honda Unicorn reached figures of 150-160 km / gallon (39-42 km / liter) at a rate of 1 gallon = 3.8 liters, This is the normal fuel consumption in our country. Very high compared to India
But in the Dazzler only get up to 135 km / gal, ie 35 km / lt which worries me, because I stated that in the first review and They told me that it had been corrected.
I checked the number of turns in the golden screw on the carburetor and has 2 turns and almost 1 / 4 more. I do not know if it's OK because when I cut back to 2 turns the engine was turned off for lack of gasoline.
I'm worried because believed that consumption in the Dazzler will be better than the Unicorn and that is why I come to your wisdom and help because no one knows this bike better than you.
I also asked about the brand of carburetor (UCAL Mikuni, Keihin ...) and why it has a small electric device on the side and I do not remember if the Unicorn had as well?
Thank you very much!

Hi,Originally posted by haresh321 View Posti installed k&n filter to my bike yesterday and find it quite impressive. good throttle response
What type of K&N filter have u put?cause the svc guys said the bike would require modification to fit a K&N filter. Since dazzler uses paper viscous filter which is square in shape compared to the K&N which is cylindrical in shape.

Very sorry to hear that Castro. I am glad that you are safe without much injuries. You should consider yourself lucky that you came out with minimal injuries in such a big accident. The bike can be repaired and restored back to normalcy. I guess you have insurance, and everything will be taken care by them, and you might have to cough up a few thousands.Originally posted by castro View Posthi guyz, i crashd my dazz, bike is compleatly out of shape.......headlight cowls gone, both sides tank scoops gone, fork and handle bar badly bent, grab rail gone, left crash guard bent, left rear foot rest assembly and Saree guard bent.................stupid dogs chasing each other came from no where and hit me head on.......no time even to apply breaks...... evry thing happened in a split sec.....i did 3 somersaults and stopped.....badly bruised my head, im unable see my dazz i such a bad state... ll get it fixed ASAP....can u guyz pos tell me how much these spares cost like headlight cowls, both tank scoops, handle bar and fork alignment, grab rail ect.. and wt is the waitg time if i order these spares, pls help me guys

All Dazzling owners, its time you guys search and find a pair of rear disc pads and keep them handy. Go for the hunt and search all service stations and get a pair. Just bought them for 685 bucks yesterday. You may not get the stock when the rear discs give up.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Is there ant mark for it?Just completed 12k kms. Fifth service completed. I have not replaced the disc pads. They are good but nearing the life time; they may last for another 5-7k easily. Just as a precaution, I bought them kept them for when I need it.Originally posted by nidclt View PostHow much is your odo? When should we change the rear disc pads(20K)?
There is no specific life time for disc pads; they may last even 2000 kms if you accidentally keep your leg on the rear brake lever and ride it (I found one such guy very recently). With normal braking, they can last up to 12-15k. With cautious usage, you can push up to 20k also.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Mine clocked 16K kms. Rear disc pads can easly go 5-7k more I think. But I changed front disc pads at 8K as it completely wearied up due to some jam, costs around Rs. 430.Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostJust completed 12k kms. Fifth service completed. Anyone facing knocking issues when climbing uphill? It was not there before 12K. No change after servicing too. Some times I even had to change to 1st gear to avoid knocking. And if this happens for some time, Engine is highly heated up.

Hi, guys. Been almost 2.5 months since i got my black dazzler. Have 5k on the odo. Going in for the third service this sunday.Got a few small niggles with my bike.
Firstly i have a small doubt with the disc brakes. When the bike is standing idle and i rotate the tyres by hand i hear small screeching sound of the brake pads sliding over the disc, at one particular point in the tyre rotation, its not that much but its there, and is present from day one , on both the tyres. Just wanted to conform if its normal (its of the extent that one can see that the tyre has slowed down due to it while rotating.)
Secondly, i had a minor incident, as some scooter crashed in on my standing bike , leaving some scratches on the headlight and pushing it down. Now the high beam is where the low beam should be. Can this be fixed? As i spotted an adjusting screw below the asembly i tried to fix it but the adjsutment screw is already fully tight at its topmost position . He also broke the handle bars side weights thing. (Which is plastic). Are these available with svc?
Thirdly the engine sound of my bike has changed a lot , and i mean a lottt, since i bought the bike. before when idling you could hardly hear the bike sound. but now the engine sounds a lot deeper and in comparison a little louder then a 4 year old pulsar. (Is this normal or i should get something inspected?)
Overall im okieshly satisfied with the bike. Not too impressed neither too depressed by the bike. No big problems yet. And the fuel economy has now improved more. now i am getting around 64kmpl .. but thats basically cos i commute on a 50km long highway strech on sane speeds (40-50kmph) without any brakes or city traffic interfering.

There must be some dirt, tiny stones in between your discbrakes and pads, wash the discbrake with soap while rotating the tyre , if the sound is still there, give it to SVC, they will open and clean it.Originally posted by aytus View PostFirstly i have a small doubt with the disc brakes. The SVC should be able to fix that properly. The plastic side weights would be available in any parts shop, doesn't require much to install, just a push.Originally posted by aytus View PostSecondly, i had a minor incident, as some scooter crashed in on my standing bike , leaving some scratches on the headlight and pushing it down. Are you changing the oil and servicing by keeping tab on your Kilometers traveled? The sound would change but it shouldn't me that much of a difference.Originally posted by aytus View PostThirdly the engine sound of my bike has changed a lot , and i mean a lottt, since i bought the bike. before when idling you could hardly hear the bike sound. but now the engine sounds a lot deeper and in comparison a little louder then a 4 year old pulsar. - Check if you choke is off at all times.
- Tell your SVC guys to lower the idle rpm.
Your getting 64 ! Wow, I wish I had that much patience. Good thing you ride safeOriginally posted by aytus View PostOverall im okieshly satisfied with the bike. I want to ask you some questions please. Maybe you can help me with your experience:
I am from other country where we have this bike and In the past I owned a Honda Unicorn that reached to me figures of 150-160 km / gallon (39-42 km / liter) at a rate of 1 gallon = 3.8 liters, This is the normal fuel consumption in our country.

Thanks a lot for your answer!
