    • I almost forgot, you can also remove the chain to clean it much better at certain intervals of time or kms, 2000 kms by example, to immerse in a container with solvent, cleaned, dried and then immersed in lubricant (SAE-90), for major maintenance.
The previous post is most recommendable for every 500 or 1000 kms, depending of the roads you drive

Thank you so much for the information.
I have heard about Motul Chain Clean Spray and Lube can use this instaed of cleaning with brush as i heard its easy to use chain clean spray and then lube spray. Please advise

        • The advantage of using the cleaning kit is not having to use a brush because the pressure in spray of the cleanning product blow the dirt. So you do not get dirty your hands
I think these products are good for maintenance every 500 kms and prevent accumulation of dirt but it is important to make a major maintenance at least every 1500 kms or 2000 to remove particles that will not remove the product in spray and for a better work of lubrication
Of course, it depends on what you want to spend (spray cost + time of maintenance / Cost Drive Kit)

          Best regards!

          • How many of the users here are experiencing vibration problems above 50kmph speeds?

Can anyone discuss about the reasons/solutions for the same?

              1. Remove Chain cover
              2. Remove front sprocket cover
              3. Remove Gear lever if needed
              4. Clean Chain, rear sprocket and front sprocket by DIESEL
              5. Sprayed WD40 liberally on chain and sprockets
              6. Wash it using pressure water
              7. clean chain cover and front sprocket cover
              8. Now that Chain is clean, again sprayed WD40 on it
              9. Oiled the chain using new Engine oil

This is how i done it in my karizma, including some pics too,My svc guys told me that they will clean and lube chain during service, but i don't think so.....So now i do it myself.

              BEFORE CLEANING

              AFTER CLEANING

Buy atleast 2Ltrs of diesel.I have a full cover chain guard,Still i cleans my chain every 1000kms,As you have half, clean every 500kms or do it when it seems to be necessary.

              Hope this helps.

                  • Hi guys,
Completed 8000kms, got 50-55kmpl mileage. Done 5th service.
The service guys mentioned "Both disc pads to be changed". Anyone got changed your disc pads? How much it will be cost(front & rear)?

                    • Disc pads wear out depending on the usage. If you ride in city most of the time with heavy application of brakes, the pads wear out very fast. If you ride most of the time on highways and less in city, or less traffic, they last quite long. Also, depends on how you apply the brakes.

I have completed 13k, and still the pads are strong. They may last for another 5k easily. But to be on safe side, I bought a pair of front and rear disc pads, in case if they are not available when I need them. The front disc pads are 350 bucks and the rear are 685. Though the rear disc pads appear costly, considering they are from Nissin, they are reasonably priced (disc pads from Nissin on Karizma cost a bomb).

                      • Enjoying The Roads with My Dazzler

                        Hey frnds..
I've been riding a Pearl Nightstar Black Dazzler for the past 7.5 months.. and its been approx 1000kms a month.. ! All i can say about the bike is... ITS A PERFORMER..
It's not always about indexing the performance. Its how a rider feels when he rides it. And Dazzler is a totally different experience altogether. i hv asked my frnds regarding their thoughts of the bike. Every1 had just 1 thing to say. Its Awesome.. and it still is.
Now.. i will like to say my personal experience on how to get the best performance out of the Stock Bike. Well the Lean or Richer tuning.. i leave that to u fellas.. all i can say is my bike gives a mileage of 33kpl.. u can dcide whats the mixture :P

Well.. we all (Owners of Dazzlers) are aware that.. the bike gives Max Torque @ 6500rpm n above.. And max Bhp @ 8500....!!
So.. taking the bike to the redlines.. may seem cool.. but in reality.. u aren't gaining anything. So the best thing to do wuld be..
Changing the gears at 8500-9000 rpm/..!! Now considering the Drop in Rpm as u change the gear.. it may drop 1000-1500 rpm.. if it does so.. u still are above the 6500rpm mark.. and hence u are getting the max torque. Inshort.. The Sexiest way to accelerate
Cornering and Breaking.. : Well the Curved Zappers.. and the Discs.. do the talking themselves. Unless u like locking up brakes.. u will do absolutely fine. Cornering is an absolute feast... and if u hv checked out Keith Kode's Twist the Wrist II.. u will surely try to take the bike to a Leaning Tour !

Gear Shifting is Smooth n fast.. though my personal 1st -2nd gear shift is rough.
Looks.: well When i own the bike.. it obvs means i love it

My Future Plans: Hv just Mailed Joel 2day.. Lets see what he has instore for my Bike.

                          Hi Ravi,
Thanks for ur reply. Yes, I daily ride in the city traffic only, so it may wear out quickly. Let me change them ASAP.

Still they are expensive, how is the efficiency of braking, especially the rear brakes are they better than the 220? and how about the front ones?
