Guys, my dazzler has 10500kms on Odo & done 4 servicing.Till now, at every service (at honda service station) they have only changed engine oil, but never changed the oil filter! When I asked the service person to change the engine oil filter, I was told that there is no oil filter in dazzler! Is this true? If there is an oil filter in dazzler then where it it located?
Has anyone changed the oil filter? How often it should be changed? Please help me!

Engine oil strainer and centrifugal filter both located in side the engine. You will find them if you open the crank case (clutch case). Both the oil strainer and centrifugal filters should be cleaned at first service as per the manual.Originally posted by amitmalve View PostGuys, my dazzler has 10500kms on Odo & done 4 servicing.Till now, at every service (at honda service station) they have only changed engine oil, but never changed the oil filter! Can the Dazzler's digital console be fitted on the CB Unicorn ???
also what might be the expected pricing of such a add-on ???
It depends on the rider of the bike brother. As far as I know Unicorn loves revs without complain,Honda reports that the Unicorn rounds up 0-60 in 5 secs.So shifting should be earlier on Unicorn to gain torque in lower gears and rev higher in higher gears.I have ridden new CB Unicorn it is definitely as fast as the new Hero Honda Hunk and is very smooth, doesn't feels stressed or losing power.Originally posted by amitmalve View PostYa, i have tried racing my dazzler with the unicorn & dazzler turned out to be faster than unicorn. Dazzler is definitely more powerful than the unicorn (both on road & on paper).
Cannot say the same for Dazzler,as I am yet to ride one........However,Dazzler and Hunk puts the similar specs from a similarly architectured engine.Last edited by MACH50; 02-12-2011, 09:44 PM.Hell's Angel

yes that is absolutely correct and to understand that fill up the tank to top and then go on any kind of road the response will be pretty much different. less the petrol+higher the amount if weight u carry= less power and low top end speed.

OK, but what after the 1st service? And should it be only cleaned or replaced?Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostEngine oil strainer and centrifugal filter both located in side the engine. @amitmalve : My Achiever manual (Maintainence matrix) says, filter cleaning at 1st, 3rd & 6th free service, then every 6000kms, no need to replace....as it lasts engine lifeOriginally posted by amitmalve View PostOK, but what after the 1st service? And should it be only cleaned or replaced?

Then I guess you should ride one dazzler at the earliest & then tell me which one is fasterOriginally posted by MACH50 View Post

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask. but will go ahead.
I test drove the unicorn dazzler today and the ride was excellent. Awesome pickup, good braking and nice riding position. guess the dealer had ripped apart the bike and so the gears were not all that smooth.
Things i felt that may be the sore points. The digital console was very ordinary, no gear indicator, and the build quality of the console made me feel that honda put a digi one there since all other companies have it.
Also the front part had so much plastic which did not give the solid feel as the old Unicorn. I would still go with the Dazzler as unicorn has min waiting period of 4 months.
Do you guys have any suggestions/comments?

OT : I remotely believe HMSI is pushing newer models (with fatter margins) and putting hold on older models...easy to get Dazzler over Unicorn, Twister over shine...Aviator over Activa ??!!

Also thinking abt Yamaha SZ R which is inferior to this though.
Unicorn(70K) min 4 months wait. Dazzler (74K) one week.
The salesman was also pushing for CBF Stunner pgm which costs 76K.
My only concern is the excess of plastic in the front though its better than twister which is almost made of plastic.
I was also surprised to see the Number plate was an accessory.

Every bike is now plastic. Even, Unicorn is plastic. The console of Dazzler is of good quality. If you want good mileage and if you can spend 76k, go for Stunner FI. It has good pick up, if not as good as Unicorn.Originally posted by ntzn View Postyeah i think i will. just waiting for the Grey color which is not available.

I did not like the stunner styling that much and so wont go for it.
I am used to this double side gear lever in my older bikes. Just wondering if I would fit the same on the dazzler . the salesman said he can fit the one from Honda Shine onto this.
Is it a good idea ? Or Unilever style is better ?
Also My friends and brother are asking me to go for CB Unicorn instead of Dazzler since unicorn is tried and tested and more stable.
Am confused a bit now. would like points from you guys.
