Hai Varun, the recomended idle for this bike is around 1.4k rpm. It might be because of this that your bike givrs problems in early morning starts. You can adjust the idle yourself by turning a silver screw (a large thump screw verticaly located) on the right side of the bike under the fuel tank (No tools needed, fingers will do).
About the mileage drop, I dont have any ideas. Hope others can help.

Ok I need some help here...
My dazzler is running strange. When I try to pull away, it firstly pulls somewhat sluggishly and then when the revs do build up and speed increases, say around 60kmph with the engine around 4500K, there is often a sudden hiccup, as if the engine suddenly lost it's fuels supply, then it comes back on again.
Got it serviced from a good mechanic yesterday as well but problem still persists. The mech says that he can't feel any problem but I face it almost everyday now. Trying to overtake traffic knowing the engine might suddenly loose power gives me the jitters.
P.S.: Just to add to the above, the bike did come to halt on it's own while I was riding to work just before I got it serviced. Was running fine at around 30kmph when I twist the throttle and no response, just came to a halt slowly on it's own. Wouldn't start. Had to push it to a nearby garage where the mechanic checked the valves, carb etc. Eventually had to recharge the battery which had got discharged. Eventually the bike started after the recharged battery was re-connected. Ignition problem?Last edited by easy_rider; 05-17-2012, 04:55 PM.

Oil filter cleaning
Finally after 25K+ odo reading, I got my bike's oil stainer screen & centrifugal filter cleaned this time before engine oil change. None of the Honda ASC do this job. For doing this one needs to open the clutch side crankcase cover. I would like to thank Ravi here who helped me to locate these filters. I saw that there were lot of fine metal particles/metal debris collected on the oil stainer screen but there was hardly anything to clean on the centrifugal filter. It was as clean as ever.
Also while fitting back the crankcase cover you need to put new packing (costs Rs 96/-) to avoid any oil leakage in future. Labor took by my mechanic was Rs100/-
So what I concluded is that it is very necessary to get the oil stainer screen cleaned/replaced(if available). All that metal debris must have got collected during the engine break-in/run-in process. One must do this as soon as his running-in period is complete or in the 1st or 2nd service itself.

If you have taken a photo of the oil strainer screen & centrifugal filter along with the metal particles/metal debris collected please post it so that the gravity of the situation is enlightened.

I suggest you check whether anything is blocking the air intake (located under the seats). Something hanging from the seat could do it and you will not be able to find it beacause the seats are already removed. It once happend to meOriginally posted by easy_rider View PostOk I need some help here...

Thanks for the information, thanks to Ravi too. Got the oil strainer cleaned today the strainer was about 65% area wise covered with metal slivers etc. Cost of labour & gasket was Rs143.00. 10w30throttle oil was got by me and was replaced (Rs.450).
All the guys should ensure it is done, actually they are supposed to be doing it in the first service itself but unfortunately the ASC are not following protocol. This is essential after you complete the running in period.

Oil stainer screen cleaning procedure
Well I got a few PM's from our fellow dazzler owners regarding the procedure for cleaning this oil stainer screen & centrifugal filter. Also the exact location of these filters is not mentioned in the owners manual.
So here it goes -
Drain the engine oil.
Then open the clutch side(right side) crankcase cover.
There at the bottom, oil stainer screen is located. Remove it & clean it with petrol.
Centrifugal filter(also known as rotor filter by some mechanics) is located at the top. Remove & clean it.
While fitting back the crankcase cover put new packing/gasket to avoid oil leakage.
At last fill the engine oil(1.1 lit) Yes, instead of regular 1lit, this time we have to fill 100ml more oil as the crankcase cover was opened.
None of the Honda ASC do this job. Its always good to have a clean stainer screen/centrifugal filter for free flowing/circulating of the engine oil.
A lot of metal debris gets collected on the oil stainer screen during the initial engine break-in process.
I advice all the members to get this done as soon as the running-in/break-in period of the engine is over.

Starting trouble.
I am riding a Dazzler for a year now (8k run . not much i know) . In the last couple of months facing starting trouble issues. The Honda mechanics said its the battery and recharged it . But couple of times I have recharged but within days the trouble starts. If the bike is parked for a day or two it gets difficult to start after that and I have to push with gear on and start it (like the good old Bajaj M80 style). yesterday it was just parked for 10 hours during the day and I could not get it started in the night. It is really frustrating. I don't think that battery alone is the issue and the mechanics in the service center are not really helping. anyone facing such issue? any solutions?
is it possible to add a kicker to the setup?
