Thanks for the explanation. (especially pic uploaded by Ravi helped a lot)

Following your tips I just examined my bike's disc pads condition. Rear one seems to be in good condition. I could see decent amount of material still left below the indicator lines.
But regarding the front ones, i didn't see any indicator lines. Where are they exactly located? (Pics are most welcomed here). Also there seems to be uneven wear. The inside pad was looking very thin compared to the outside pad.

      • It seems some cells in the battery are weak. Often, bike is not starting normally when the engine is cold. The other day, in the morning, the bike did not start and I had put in 2nd gear and start it. Later, it was fine, even till now. I was suggested to replace my battery. Exide sucks two-wheeler batteries. For an MF battery, a life of just little over 1.5 years is really low. Amaran gives 60 months warranty for their MF battery. Soon, I am going to replace it with Amaron. I don't know why Honda is sourcing batteries from Exide.

I will try to put the picture of front disc if possible. You have to check the pad thickness same way as the rear. You need to use a torch for better recognition.

Which dealer is this? I visited Lodha Honda this very afternoon. No stock of Unicorn. When I asked for Dazzler, they said it has been out of production for quite a few months! Now, why are they pulling a fast one?

It really is much too difficult for the front brake, helps if the bike is raised or something. Tried taking a pic but couldn't snap a good one with my phone (only camera I have) thats why attaching the manual page for brake pad wear.

Regarding the uneven wear, well in my rear brakes there is even wear and the pads are holding up quite well, 2 wear lines still left. In my front brake while the wear is uniform for both sides, it is thicker in the upper part and thinner in the lower part of the pad for both sides I dont know how much that will effect anything, but the front brake is quite spongy.

Just goes to say the difference in quality between brakes made by Nissin (rear) and brakes made by Indian company (KBX Chennai i think)

                    How true is this??

Well, Im here in the Philippines, but our DAzzlers came from your Soil, I'm sure that we'll be affected, although the NEW MEGAPRO(Dazzler in Indonesia) is on the other side, Im not exactly sure if their Parts are Exactly as ours..

Thanks, yes torch did helped for inspecting the thickness of the front disc pads. It was indeed very tricky as told by plasmabhai. They are completely gone.(odo @25+K) I should have checked them a long time back. Now its high time to get them replaced. Also will get the complete brake oil changed with dot4.

Btw checked with my nearest svc, but the OE pads are not available, will take 3-4 days. Has anyone tried any alternatives?

Nothing like that, the production is going on. Dont know why some dealers spread false stories like these to fool gullible people.

Fact is that different dealers in the same city have different deals for the same vehicle. When I was buying my dazzler, Planet Honda said they have a wait time of 1 week for Armor Gold which I wanted, while Dhruvdesh Honda said I will get the vehicle (Armor Gold) in 4 working days, which I did. I asked whether they already had them in stock and they said no otherwise they would have given me the next day only!

Plus Dhruvdesh charged me Rs200 less for the bike, threw in Rs400 worth of accessories and gave one year insurance free plus did my address proof notary and stuff (Rs150) for free. Pilot was only giving insurance free, everything else I had to pay.

Also both dealerships had a wait time of 3 weeks for Black and Silver colours and 1-2 weeks for Red since those colours are more popular. Armor Gold being the least popular was much more easily available.

Wait times for different colours keep changing from time to time and dealer to dealer. That's why don't believe the dealers, the company website will tell you all you need to know!

                          Thanks Bro, that's a relief

It's been raining hard here in the Philippines and I can say that our Dazzlers love riding under the rain..

It's performing Smoothly and doesn't care about rain drops

                          • gear shifter problem

                            Urgent Help required -

Yesterday while riding the bike, all of a sudden my bike's gear shifter tension got lost. For example while shifting the gear when I press the gear lever down, it stays there(down) only....I mean I have to manually pull it up again for further gear shifting, it doesn't returns back to its normal position on its own after i shift the gear. It feels like a lifeless gear lever, there is no tension left in it.
                            What could be the problem??

I think the spring for the gear lever to go back snapped. but for it to be fixed, the mechanic may need to open the engine.. but i hope that im wrong

I would be glad if I could get some more inputs on this.
                                Has anybody else experienced this?
