operating temperature???
I dont believe these are not race track tyres that they require optimum temperature to operate....moreover these are basically cold tyres, too much "warming" would break its rubber compound and over time it would bald soon...hence we have either one role or dual role tyres in the market...PLAYTIMES' OVER KID

we don't need to take any special efforts for warming up the tires.......some kms of riding on normal tarmac is enough.

lol
.....I have done 27K+ on stock tires which includes lot of high speed long distance touring.....these kinda riding would have always warmed up my bikes Tyre too much....still there is lot of life left in my tires.....no sign of any baldness on my tires.

Dazzler's tyres are decent enough offering good grip on dry tarmac, and just okay grip on wet roads. One needs to be very careful on wet roads. Any hard braking will cause aquaplaning easily. I always ride very carefully on wet roads.
If anyone wants excellent grip, get R15 tyres. They do wonders on both dry and wet roads. If I had my Dazzler, my next change would be a set of R15 tyres.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

WD40 is absolutely safe for the chain. It is a kerosene based cleaner with additives to loosen rust, sticky grease and gunk. U can spray kerosene itself on the chain directly since that will give you the best effect and is totally safe for the O-rings.Originally posted by vajra_bng View PostHi,
Can WD40 spray used to clean dazzler chain as its O-ring type will it cause any problem by using WD40?
I have found that diesel and petrol are better than kerosene at cleaning however they are costly and dangerous (highly volatile, explosive mix with air, low ignition temp, thus dangerous and obviously more costly than kerosene).
Also I never clean the chain myself, whenever I give my bike for washing, I also ask them to clean the chain separately, costs Rs20/- more. I would advise you to do the same instead of getting your own hands dirty, since its efficient, quick, clean and safe for you.---

Hey guys, my dazzler has completed 35,000 Km,s and by now it looks like its gonna need some parts replacements. The obivious ones are Rear tyre (treads worn out), and chain replacement( in replace chain zone), along with spark plug, engine oil and air filter.
Is there anything else that would be needed to replaced when i go for servicing this time?
What better options are there for that tyre replacement apart from that default mrf zapper.?

+1 for R15 tyres.. I hope you mean the R15 version 1.0 tyres.Dazzler's tyres are decent enough offering good grip on dry tarmac, and just okay grip on wet roads. One needs to be very careful on wet roads. Any hard braking will cause aquaplaning easily. I always ride very carefully on wet roads.

Not sure how effective fatter tyres would be on Dazzler (if it is possible to fix them in the first place).. not sure how it would look either.
Another thing that crossed my mind: if you were to lean into a corner, would you lose contact on the front tyre first or the rear? I.e. which tyre will lose grip first?

Since yesterday I noticed that the backlit below the tachometer showing 0 till 3 (highlighted in the following pic, pic taken from google) is not litting up sometimes and keeps flickering when lit while riding the bike.

Would the whole speedometer have to be replaced for fixing this? My bike is just over a year old, and the warranty is for two years I suppose. Is this covered under warranty as this is an electronic component and I was been told that electronic components doesn't come under warranty. If not under warranty, what is the approximate cost of new speedometer? Just collecting this info before going to ASC.Last edited by nsm2285; 09-03-2012, 06:37 PM.

You dont need to replace the whole Speedo, there is nothing wrong with it. Just replace the bulbs under it

That's a reliefOriginally posted by phat_17 View PostYou dont need to replace the whole Speedo, there is nothing wrong with it. Just replace the bulbs under it
. I was under the impression that the whole speedo unit is a sealed thing to avoid moisture and water condensation issues.
Have you faced this issue before? If yes, what was the approximate cost of replacing the bulb.
If anybody else have faced this issue, your input would be highly appreciated.

I haven't experienced that issue, and I'm located here in the Philippines, hence I don't have an idea about the pricingOriginally posted by nsm2285 View PostThat's a relief

I think that there are no bulbs, my guess is that you would rather find some LEDs for the backlight.
Cost of an LED should be Rs. 5 to Rs. 10, so most of the cost should be for the labour of fixing it.
I tried to get to the console assembly myself once just out of curiosity, but found that there are just too many things to remove/dismantle so left it as is.
Check with your SVC for the backlight assembly, if its under warranty it should be free of cost.
