When I asked the service guys, they said it is normal!

    Please advise!
the vibrations are there from 50-60 after 60 its smooth .

do u guys have vibrations at 24-26 and 10-12 kmph . i experience this.

@complaining the quality guys .. all bikes have some quality issues and honda dazzler is meant for ride quality and convenient riding in city with decent mileage of around 50 in city conditions . everything is fine dudes for me .the pillion is quite comfortable in long rides .

go for dazzler if u opt for ride quality, comfort and 150cc power.i owned a pulsar 150 cc previously and i would give the rating for dazzler 8/10 but for pulsar 6/10

Just because you see some wires here and there, doesn mean that the build quality is bad. Quality is a factor built within the machine. One cannot judge quality just by looking at it. You have to feel it. Not every bike is perfect. If you find any problem arising with your ride, then it is worth complaining here.

And regarding your complaints about the engine kill switch, Sporty stance, Clip ons, did you buy the bike blind. Of course I too miss these. But I am happy for the fact that I got what I wanted. If you are so frustrated, Why don you mod your bike. Anything is possible.
well said . guys dont take this in wrong tone

        • Just finished my first service from Pashankar Auto @ Kothrud.

Bike is in great shape, suspension seems to be softer than before, chain noise is gone (though I need to buy the spray for regular cleaning & lubing to keep it that way).

Slight vibrations are felt @ 50, I'm not pushing it beyond 50 till 1000kms (I've decided to pamper it).

I told them about the console vibrations and the manager there told me that it is a problem with all the Dazzlers and that he is about to ask Honda fora permanent and proper solution. If they don't come back with one, then he will come up with a "quick-fix" for me.

I have more or less fixed it for now by applying a small piece of black adhesive soft velcro to the right-top part of the console. Its visible, but does not look ugly, in-fact it gives it a more plush look ;-)

No other issues & I'm really settling in with the bike and enjoying it thoroughly !

          • Sunday had a 480-km trip to Srisailam ghats. Some observations:
            1. I was amazed by the great suspension; it just flew over potholes at speeds.
            2. Cruising at 80-kmph speeds is very comfortable; engine is very smooth, vibration-free, except a few foot-peg vibrations after 8k rpm.
            3. Cornering is simply awesome.
            4. Excellent braking. I love the bite of the rear disc. It bites very well and never skids or slips (hard braking not advised on wet patches and gravel).
            5. Had to keep at higher rpms in ghats to keep it going.
            6. Engine is great for touring, but the non-sporty riding position does not inspire and not very comfortable for very long hauls. One need to stop and stretch the body occasionally.

Max speed touched was 117 kmph (it still can go more)

I had pushed the bike to higher rpms at ghats to keep up with ZMA and R-15, and with 60% of the time above 80 kmph, it returned me 43 kmpl (I feel it is a decent mileage)

My bike completed 2550 km as of now and second service is nearing. The console started to make noises when it falls in potholes. Will fix that in second service.

I see some people complaining vibrations between 50-60 kmph. My bike is completely vibration-free.

            • My Dazzler Experiences

Hi All, I got my Silver Dazzler on 07-July-2010. I'm very satisfied. Really I feel very proud of owning this bike . Will upload my dazzler pics soon.

I had driven 2400 kms with my dazzler. Have driven my bike between 50-65 kmph speed for first 750 kms, & I got 48-50 kmpl mileage in city. Then I gave my dazzler for first service. After first service I drive my dazzler at a speed limit of 55-65 kmph upto 1400 kms, here also I got 48-50 kmpl mileage in city. At 1400-2400 kms I drive my bike at the speed of 65-80 kmph. Now too I got 48-50 kmpl mileage in city. I'm very happy about the mileage .

Second service is nearing. I feel styling is the only aspect that lets it a bit down , Honda said this is the sportive version of unicorn, but that is not 100% right. Just 70% only its sportive. But I didn't worry much about this. I'm satisfied regarding all other sectors like performance, suspension, engine smoothness, breaking & etc...

My opinion is in 150cc segment this is the great bike in all aspects(Performance, Mileage, Breaking & etc...).
              Happy & Safe Biking

                  R-15 to Dazzler???? Why? Why??

Anyway, congratulations for the new ride. Run it in properly. Keep under 4k rpm for the initial 1000 kms.

                  • hey guys, i bought a dazzler more than 2 months ago... clocked 1.3k kms till now.. almost never went past 4k rpm till 1k kms..
I love this bike.. Excellent handling, mileage around 50 kmpl..
The vibrations, some people had mentioned about. I did experience it a few times b/w 50-60.. once ur past that.. u hardly feel anything. And yeah it'll eventually smoothen out when u keep riding at those speeds. Every thing is splendid about the bike.
The only issue i've been having is the sound from the chain. I went to the service centre once, he said he sprayed some lube and gave it back quickly.. Then it was fine for about 200 kms further.. and again i start hearing that noise.
Seeking suggestions on maintaining it sound free, and also other tips from more experienced riders of the same bike.

                    • Use motul chain spray or use sae 90 engine oil to lube it.

                      • Open chains will make noise, because they are open. Noise will be minimum if you keep it lubed properly. If you do not lube, the noise will increase. Buy OKS Chain Spray (340 bucks) and use it. It is the best for O-ring chains. The chain needs to be lubed every week, depending on the ride conditions. In rains, you may need to lube it every two days also.

my dreams of owning a R15/P220 came crashing down when my dad crashed his honda shine (he is fine.). now i'm looking to buy a bike for my dad. i reside in chennai.

i was looking for unicorn but waiting period is 5months. 2nd option was dazzler with a waiting period of a month, its the same unicorn but my dad found it too odd (me too lol). then the new yamaha SX isnt up for sale yet and also mileage is a big question for a yamaha. i'm also considering the gs150r. my questions are these.
1.he expects 60 around mileage (the old man drives @ 40kmph not more and in city mostly) will the dazzler give that?
2.he is 55yrs old. he has rode scooters,100cc,125cc bike. he rides my bike too(fz) but is not comfortable with it. will my dad be able to handle the dazzler? regarding say pushing or turning or balancing etc?
3.compared to the unicorn/gs150r what are the pros/cons of this bike? people say this bike is "rough" compared to unicorn. is it true?

thank you very much for your replies !

Dazzler is very very comfortable to ride in city; the stance is not like FZ and is very commuterish. Easy to turn in city and feels very light. I am sure your dad will not have any problems riding it. Dazzler will give 50 kmpl in city conditions.

Though looks are subjective, Dazzler looks good and once you see it more, you would love it.

If your father likes the looks of Twister, it is a great option. Excellent engine, great mileage and power combination.
What ravi@17bhp said is 100% correct. Dazzler is very comfortable to ride in city, because of it's comparatively less weight(138 kg). But it will give 50 kmpl in city. Is it enough, just don't think about other bikes, and go for it. It suits for your dad.
Else you just go for Twister or Shine. Both are best in their segments, and both will give 60-65 kmpl in city.

                          • Just had a nasty crash at 5:30 a.m. It was raining and I was going to office. Before Miyapur junction, one ***hole is is riding in the opposite direction in the middle of the road without any headlight. Saw him at the last moment and applied brakes. The gravel on the road did not give any grip and I skidded. That bugger sped away from the place, otherwise I would have beaten him.

Luckily had minor injuries. Bruises on palm and knee only. The crashguard saved the cowls of the bike, except the right headlight cowl. Silencer took the beating and had scratches. It was raining and dark, so did not inspect the bike much. Lets see what else happened.

Stupid ***hole, I feel like killing him.

I'm not sure about the cowls or other parts but my silencer had a small scratch on it which I unfortunately noticed after delivery. If it makes you feel any better, they had quoted me just 1000 to re-coat the whole silencer cover (both black and silver portions).
