hi i live in ahmedabad. i wanted to know how is the ASS of honda ? as i am going to buy dazzler soon. how are parts availability and any problems that i might incurred with this bike in long run-want to keep for 5 years, also common niggles associated with it so that i care be vary of as i am avid tourer. is it true that the production of this bike stopped or going to be stopped in few years ?

I am more of a silent observer of this thread. I own a dazzler since april 2011.
Off late I am experiencing starting trouble in the bike. The battery seems to be ok .horn,dim/dip work fine. But the problem is with starting only. If i keep the bike idle for more than 2 nights the problem occurs. And i have to start it the way We used to start the Bajaj M80 in those days. It will be damaging the clutch. I even did service the bike a month and the honda service personnel said battery and auto start are fine. The problem is the service centers are more concerned about the bikes customer bring in for service and are not much interested with customers who go in for issues like this. This attitude sucks but what to do. we need to live with it. I see that some memebers in the thread have replaced battery and relay free of cost and it has solved their starting problems. Is that the only solution for this ? is there any long term remedy.?

Excellent bike, decent performance and mileage. I don't race around much.
Build quality is not up to the mark.
I see rusting in several parts of the bike.
Honda A.S.S in Madras is ok. These dealers are just the same with perfunctory attitude. They just check what you specifically mention while letting the bike for service. sometimes they even ignore that too.
One has to book for service 3 days before.
I haven't had to change mucha spare parts and so not too sure of the availabilty as such.

guys pls help.
ma bike is havin starting issues from a long time
i even changed the spark plug but even then
wat happens is
1) i sit on the bike and hit the starter in neutral gear it starts and the moment i twist the accy it makes a click sound and shuts off
2) if i try to start it in a gear it just makes a sparking sound but does not start.
3) i then give choke and let it idle for some time and then only the accy responds without switching off the bike.
4) sometimes if i slow down also and accy again it switches off.
5) i need to hit the starter atleast 10 times before i can vroooom off smoothly
its damn annoying acan someone pls help me with this???

Not true. I read your comment yesterday and was to the My Wings Honda in Pune for servicing and asked the senior person there about this and he said that after new production plant of Honda has started, the old plant is being mainly used for the production of Unicorn, Unicorn Dazzler and CBR250R. Did you try changing the relay? If not, please try that. Because I had similar problem and Dream Honda,Whitefield (Bangalore) changed the relay for free of cost after checking/charging the battery etc... Now I do not have any problem in this cold climate. My bike starts in one push without choke.

I have recently changed my handlebar to Unicorn's.(steel).This feels much more comfortable than the Dazzler one.Its taller and a bit wider.
The dreaded starting problem has finally come. Whenever i press the starter button,Nothing happens...This happens randomly. I took it to a local mechanic.He said its a earthing problem.I told him to check the Relay and fuse near battery but he said its only earthing problem. He did something but now problem has increased.
Now it starts only randomly or if i push the starter button 5-6times.Sometimes even 12-15times also does not help starting it.
Whenever i push the starter button,I can hear a tik sound.
Took this to another mechanic and he said starter motor needs to be changed.
So i am bit clueless whether starter motor is the real culprit.
And also need to change the chain(22k),i have no regrets for this as this is the case with my previous bike pulsar 200.
