    and engine turned off.
now the self starter is not working. bike won't start by thumb starter. bike starts without a fuss by kick starter.
headlamps, indicators, horn and all electricals are working as expected.
    please help! what to do?

ps: when i press the starter, neutral light and other lights go a little dim. so i guess the switchgear is fine.
i showed the bike to a mechanic he said battery is discharged. get it charged. so i got the battery charged but still the bike won't start by self start. i did checked the battery voltage after charging (12.35v). the battery guy said battery is dead. there is a fault in battery.
"load pe beth jata hai saab"

i told him about what happened the other night and i told him may be there is problem with the starting mechanism. he showed me that self starter is working properly by connecting a working battery.

Anyways any pulsar owner can use the best suited oil Valvoline 4T premium 20w50 synthetic blend semi synthetic oil. It is the best oil for Pulsar.

Other than above oils dont go for anyother ones, even Motul brands (For 150cc), pure wastage of money. Valvoline performs exceptionally well. engine becomes very smooth. At anycost avoid Bajaj oil, Castrol.

Drain interval 2500-2800 Kms. (max 3000kms)

    Hello Srinivas,

Can you please tell which dealer is selling the brand Valvoline 4T premium 20w50 synthetic blend semi synthetic oil. in chennai. I searched every dealer. they say that it is not available through out chennai.

And also when the bike is in some gear and is not running, it feels very hard to shift the gear to neutral. I have to make the bike move forward and backward continuously to change the gear. When I asked to a local mechanic, he told that clutch plates needs to be replaced.

    1. If the 150 is similar to the 220, then check the neutral switch. That is normally what gets spoilt and requires to be replaced. Once you replace that the bike will again start in gear with the clutch pulled in.

    2. Check engine oil level, but that behaviour is unfortunately 'normal' for pulsars!
