Oh My GoD..the bike actually went in air with both wheels off the ground.
This is one thing that might never happen again. But can't say...

            Head to head:

            1. Pedrosa

Starts, Wins, Podiums, Poles, Fastest laps, Points
            124, 24, 76, 26, 36, 1883

            2. Mamola

Starts, Wins, Podiums, Poles, Fastest laps, Points
            151, 13, 57, 5, 11, 1050

So, if, Pedrosa doesn't win a championship before he retires, he 'll be the greatest!

Yeah, that looks pretty one-sided in favour of Pedrosa. But I think Pedrosa's chances have been majorly dented with the last 3 races. IMO, The ball is now Marquez' to drop. He has the edge in health, psychology and points.
2 of those are objective and as for psychology : Pedrosa, Lorenzo and Marquez have each had 1 race with 0 points (DNF/DNS). Out of 8 full races each, Marquez has yet to finish outside podium whereas Lorenzo and Pedrosa have both finished outside of a podium THREE whole times (sure the reason can be attributed to injuries for 2xLorenzo and 1xPedrosa).

Yamaha 'd be taking more risk if, they decide to field Rossi for 2015.

Lorenzo has now entered a phase in which Rossi was in 2010. A defending champion slowly fading away from the top spot. Yamaha 'd be looking at the young guns from Moto2 world at the back of their mind. MM is a Repsol Honda boy. Locked up. Stefan, Redding, Espargaro? Let's see. Long way to go....

Well, someone claimed that he spoke to Nicky Hayden at Laguna Seca and NH seem to have said that there's a chance of him being on-board Aprilia for the next season. Silly season, really!

I'm in night shift and working hard to complete this months tasks in time, but can't reset ignoring any post on this thread.
Didn't read the whole article but just the last paragraph as stated.
As prince also stated once that Ducati's pace in 2007 was largely because of custom tires on the bike, this article states the same.
But I still believe the fact that if given a bike to everyone of the same spec and performance, Stoner is one man who will be either 1 or 2 on every track, as far as lap time is concerned. Though the race is not about the fastest rider
For me, I have not seen anyone riding faster around the track than Stoner. If it comes to shear pace, he's the man. And he did push the bikes to the limits, that is one of the reasons why he fell many times as well.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.
